Q: Any preference from a value perspective on any of the Brookfield family of companies? Any you think have a more favorable outlook and price?

Q: As a result of the recent decline in the North American equity markets I would appreciate you advise the current % weighting of the various sectors of the TSE, S &P 500 and Your recommended % weighting of those sectors.
In regards to your recommended weighting of the energy sector what portion would you suggest should be in the energy producers and what portion in the energy infrastructure companies i.e Enb, Key, PPL

Q: 2 questions
west fraser and norbord, do not own, totally beaten down, would you take a position and is this beat down justified.
yangarra and tamarack, have small position in both, my main oil holding being parex as you suggest.with tax loss selling should i let tamarack and yangarra go,, and revisit in january, i know i am giving them away,but these 2 could go a lot lower. dave

Q: I am a retired, conservative, dividend income investor and have 1/2 to 2/3 positions in each of these securities. I trim-add to my stocks when my asset allocation needs adjusting (recently topped up BCE, BNS). I am considering topping up these 4 stocks, but am fully aware that Tax Loss Selling Season will soon be in full swing. Having said that, all 4 of these stocks have already been beaten up a fair bit.

I know you are NOT a market timer, but does your crystal ball foresee further downside as we work our way through the next 2 months of Tax Loss Selling? Using TCL as an example, you just added 1% to your position. I am sure you must have had quite an internal 5iR discussion about "when" to add that position vs. your 10% cash position at that time and the need to deploy some of it. OR...is it as simple as...this stock has been beaten up so much, it has excellent value now, we know we can't time the bottom, so let's just buy it now?

Q: Is there any consideration to add Reddit style discussions with 5i members? Having such chats and posting the conversation may allow regular questions be answered and allow for follow up discussion. I'm sure there is some hesitation to get into lengthy debates over a specific investment, however you can also moderate the discussion to focus on a specific topic, such as what you are putting together with the video series.

Q: Hello,
I liked Gary's question on Low Risk/high reward situation for ALA. I read a book by Mohnish Pabrai a great value investor who did very well by buying into low risk/high uncertainty situations which led the good companies to sell at well below market prices. Are there other companies out there in such a situation? Would TSGI fall in that category where the risk/reward looks very attractive? Thanks.
