Q: Hello guys,
I was hoping you could rate the current buy-ability of these industrial discretionary companies (byd, doo,mg,tt,sis) and of these clothing discretionary companies (goos, lulu, nke, atz) with 10 being a great buy, for new money. Any concerns, and is there anything similar that you like better?

Thanks,

Peter

Q: I have held CJT for a while, in a taxable account. I am down about 13%. In previous Q&A, 5I has leaned towards TFII when discussing these 2. On the other hand, CJT was covered in a 5I article a few weeks back, something like, "Growth on Sale", for stocks that had dropped a lot in the recent rotation but seemed to show potential to recover. And then there is CJT's deal with Amazon which also seems to be a good positive. So, although you have answered before, which of the 2 would you currently invest in. The tax loss offers some solace and benefit for a switch, but then there is a possible recovery??? Thanks for your excellent service.

Q: Currently own CNR and am concerned about the KCS merger. Do you think the share price can recover IF the merger is approved? What if its not approved? Some major share holders think that CNR is taking a large risk and are over-paying/ My understanding is this decision could take up to a year to be decided. Would you SELL CNR and move to CP while this sorts out (no impact tax wise) or continue to HOLD until things get a little clearer to shareholders.
Thanks for your thoughts

Q: I just took a position in NTR because of the recent high prices for crops (corn and such) under the thought that this should drive demand as the farmers should have more cash and a reason to increase acreage planted. Is this a reasonable thought process. If you look at NTR as a trading stock what are the things to look out for to realize the ballgame is almost over and how early (what inning) is it now.

Q: Both (pho) Photon Control & (ish) Inner Spirit have recently become companies of merger. MKSI to buy all shares of PHO & SNDL to buy all shares of ISH.

Would you suggest continue holding these shares of PHO & ISH to become shares of the new companies. Or would it be better to sell now at the higher share value before the mergers are complete?

Thank You

Q: As I write this, Friday mid afternoon, all of the markets are sharply higher. Gains seem to be pretty much across the board. I like to look at outliers that are bucking the trend. There are a few stocks that you have been optimistic about that are actually down today. Wondering if any of these are not as favoured by the market, given their performance today. Perhaps issues with recent results. Understanding that you can't read too much into one day's trading, but several of these have dropped quite a bit lately, and I'm wondering what your current feelings would be on buying these today for a long term hold in a diversified portfolio. Would you give each a rating from 1 to 10 as to how strongly you would want each of these in a portfolio? BYD, CSU, CTS, DOO, DND, ENGH, LNF, PBH, REAL, STC.
