Q: Good Morning
We have a approximately 10k that we would like to contribute to our Grand daughters RESP. We would like to do so with stocks and have about a 10 year window before the funds would be needed. Could you suggest 3 conservative stocks that would be appropriate for this type of account with one additional stock having a more aggressive approach?
Thks
Marcel

Q: I held a smallish position in Canada Goose, and was getting less optimistic about sales growth, particularly in China, and sold half early in 2021 at about $53. Obviously should have sold all of it.
Today's results were disappointing with regard to the outlook.

(1)Wondering what you think of the GOOS results.

(2) If I sell the remaining GOOS shares, I would add to an existing smallish position in one of Pollard Banknote, Park Lawn or Trisura. How would you rank these 4 companies, GOOS, PBL, PLC, TSU, as part of a balanced portfolio with a tolerance for risk?

Q: I have a small RESP for my son and was planning on splitting the account with these 6 stocks. Any thoughts and / or suggestions on removing / adding name(s). Buy and forget for 10yr+ and likely adding to the positions every year. My intent is to have a more serious look at the allocation / risk once the amount becomes more meaningful. Thank you!

Q: Greetings 5i team,
I hold WELL and DSG in my TFSA to the tune of about 1.5% each of my overall portfolio. I am considering selling one or both and concentrating on one of three companies: WELL, DSG or GSY. If we were to ignore company size, sector, diversification and strictly look at 5 yr growth potential, would you 1. Hold one or two of these names and 2. In which order do you think has / have the most potential?
I am not averse to holdings of < 3% if I might add to them in the future.
Thank you as always.

“high-quality stocks with sustainable growth, solid valuation frameworks, robust profits, positive earnings revisions, and strong momentum compared to peers.”

“wonderful company at a fair price”

“Bargains are the holy grail of the true stock picker. We see the latest correction not as a disaster, but as an opportunity to acquire more shares at low prices. This is how great fortunes are made over time,”

Q: What is your opinion on buying LEAPS on blue chip companies during a stock market downturn? I know it's still "timing the market", which you don't recommend, but I have had quite a lot of success doing this in the past, versus buying 30-90 day calls.
