Q: RBC shows a earnings report due April 26 yet nothing has appeared so far, any ideas?
Q: Good Afternoon,
I see that you recently answered a question on the $200MM bought deal today, I would just like to expand on this a bit please. I recall when Avigilon did this a few years ago, they already had ample cash on the balance sheet with no debt but took advantage of their high share price to issue shares and raise capital. You had mentioned at the time that they likely had a large acquisition in mind but they never really did deploy that excess cash with one single large takeover that I recall. Of course AVO has unperformed and acting poorly ever since. Any read through on GUD? They now have approximately 75% of their market cap as cash, seems awfully high with now 25% more shares outstanding. Doesn't seem to make much sense? Any further thoughts? Thank-you.

Q: Bad Q1 results imo on Nhc/t,please comment. Also, when reading Q4/2015 Annual report,I quote,"Net revenue for fourth quarter of 2015 rose 127.3 per cent to $90.0-million". But when I read today's Q1 report, they quote,"Total revenue for the three months ended March 31, 2016, increased $13.4-million, or 35 per cent, to $51.3-million from $37.9-million in the prior corresponding period".Is there not a descrepency in Q4 revenue??, 1 report says $90M while 1 says $37.9M. Am I missing something or reading wrong???. Bottom line, buy hold or sell. Thanks as always,jb
Q: Any thoughts on their results and sharp drop?

Q: Hi 5i,
In the last proxy & general meeting shareholders were to vote on a "blank cheque" policy for preferred shares I believe. I did not see results for the vote of this. Do you know what happened?
Would preferred shares dilute the value of the current common shares?
Are they for private investors or to be listed on the stock exchange?
Do you think this is a form of a "backup" or added plan to deleverage the company faster?
Would someone like BlackRock be interested in this type of investment as opposed to buying the whole company?
Thank you, Shane

Q: What is the consensus for CXR's upcoming earnings? At $30, does the risk/reward present a time to double down?
Thanks,

Q: Hi,
Could I get your thoughts on these two companies:
1) Pacific Biosciences of California (NASDAQ:PACB)
2) Illumina (NASDAQ: ILMN)
Are there any other Canadian recommendations in BioTech?

Q: Which is cheaper, prism or savaria?
And what are the growth rates of the two?
Thanks.

Q: As a follow up to my previous question regarding Concordia's share price drop you mentioned that the drop Friday was likely due to the forecast and results from Endo Pharma (ENDP. Based on your understanding of the two companies how susceptible is Concordia to the same factors and pricing that brought down ENDP? And to what extent does their acquisition and European operations buffer Condordia from tabling similar results? Thx.
Q: Hello,
I've been reading a lot about the CXR takeout possibility. There are a lot of opinions out there but inevitably because this was not a rumour, I'm looking at it more closely as a real possibility and that CXR is in play. Regardless of all the moving parts to CXR, the short players, bad press, debt, etc., and that even without a bid to buy, CXR stands to be worth much more in the future if they can start to pay down debt based on their earnings and reporting this Friday. My question is that it looks like CXR isn't getting an offer they would like to accept and the market seems to be reacting as if there is no belief that a buyout is around the corner. Why wouldn't a viable company just make a hostile bid and get the ball rolling anyway? Could you please provide your insight on this CXR situation and on how this buyout could work here considering CXR is looking?
Thanks for your answer.

Q: Could you comment on Cipher's Q1 results?
Q: Stupid, me, I forgot to put in the company name when I asked a question, lets try it again. I bought this company about 3 weeks ago, and has been on a stswady decline ever since. I don't understand it, they are trading at about cash value and are making money. I didn't know they had done a QT transaction, I typically avoid them like the plague, how do you feel about this one, do you think I should take my lumps or hang on.
Thank you for you time and have a nice day

Q: Concordia's share price has been sliding steadily recently which I find surprising given that the company is in play ( I assume)based on any public information that we have access to. Also with the earnings report expected in a week I would assume that the company will have paid down some of its debt. Both events I thought would be positive for the shares. So why are the shares dropping as much as they have especially if Concordia has formed a committee to evaluate possible buyers? The market is acting as if that possibility has been ruled out yet there has not been any announcements to that effect. So how does one rationalize current share performance with a possible buyout that typically would stabilize share prices? Or does the market/insiders know something that we do not know? Your thoughts please. Thx.
Q: Good morning Peter,
unless I am missing something, I was under the impression that Concordia were scheduled to release their 1st Qtr results this morning, yet I can`t find any news towards this anywhere. Can you enlighten me on this? Thank you.

Q: Thoughts on Savaria's earnings? I bought this originally as a 2.5% weight and its now 4.6% of my portfolio with its stellar performance.
Q: I purchased 50 shares of ENL at 36.5 Canadian considering it was very cheap on a valuation basis. Looking at their earnings they will be earning almost US 4.9 per share in 2016. After hours the stock is down to USD 20. This price makes it around 5 times earnings. Do you suggest I bail out at the market in the morning or should I keep holding for next several months for the price to recover.
Q: PLI went down nearly 7 1/2% today, and I suppose the bought deal must be the problem. Can you enlighten me as to just how a bought deal affects the share price in the short term?
Thanks.
Thanks.
