Q: Good morning,
I would like to add a US health care name to my portfolio. Considering MDT or SYK. Which do you prefer or do you have a better idea? I currently own IHI.
Thanks, Dennis
Q: I have to express my concern regarding your response to Dave re: COV on 7/29. The comment that you take a "Portfolio Approach" and 5I "will not enter into debates on individual stocks" is the issue. My concern here is that I do not buy ALL of the stocks in a particular portfolio but do own many of them. By the sheer presence of a stock in a 5I portfolio suggests to me that you approve of the stock and are recommending it. I have held onto stocks far too long because it was retained in the portfolio. I consider if a stock remains in one of your portfolios it is a "Hold" recommendation from 5I. Am I wrong?
Q: I, like Medison, am fed up with Knight and Jonathan Goodman. I voted to keep him in and I thought that after the battle, he would try and create some shareholder value. If Medison can call a shareholders meeting, I think a lot of shareholders will side with Medison this time around. A very frustrating stock and I know that if one is frustrated, they should sell. Do you think we will ever see some move to the upside in Knight in this century, or maybe Knight is for the great-great-great-grandchildren. lol
Q: Have a half position in AMRN in my growth portfolio where I am very comfortable with risk as I am well diversified and conservative in the rest of my portfolios. Is the recent decrease due to a secondary offering an opportunity to increase my position?
Q: TH reported yesterday. What do you think of earnings report ? Sales up 62 % and they have applied for listing on NASDAQ. Stock fell on announcement . Should I buy TH.? Bob
Q: Hi Everyone at 5i! You have mentioned that HHL is not your favorite ETF in the health care sector. What would you consider to be a more favourable alternative that exhibits better growth and some income as well ? Cheers, Tamara
Q: I'm looking to take advantage of the strengthening CAD and add risk by selling my stake in GUD (break even) and purchasing caredx and gaurdent for a five year holding period. Is this a bad idea? Will recent comments from the White House around healthcare reform help or hurt these companies? Thanks
Q: Hello
I currently hold full positions of Stryker and Illumina in healthcare. I’m looking for suggestions of a replacement for Knight. Would consider either US or Canadian.
Thank you
