Q: Hi 5i Research Team -
I've done very well on SHOP & TSLA. Mr. Buffett said buy low and sell high. Would you recommend that as well and transfer those savings to ETF's to protect investments against a possible melt down? If so could you please recommend some ETF's or other transfers.
Thankyou!!! Frank

Q: I have historically held my investments in mutual funds through a financial advisor. I subscribed to 5i Research approximately 3 years ago and made my first investments in equities and an ETF based primarily upon information obtained from 5i Research. The returns on VGRO ETF and my equities have been 2 to 4 times the gain for my mutual funds. I recently upgraded my subscription to include Portfolio Analytics. Based upon portfolio analytics, my current portfolio is reasonably well balanced with recommendations to add healthcare and industrials as well as some international exposure. I have cash on hand that I want to invest. I will hold my investments for the next 5 to 10 years. I am looking at purchasing some additional equities and an ETF with good growth potential at moderate risk. Please provide top 10 recommendations with rankings for stocks that I should consider adding to my portfolio. Please provide recommendations for top 5 ETFs with rankings that I should consider adding to my portfolio. What is your current view on VGRO? Would you suggest topping up my investment in VGRO?

Q: Hi 5i,

I'm looking to add to my TFSA. No concern with volatility and looking to hold for minimum 3-5 years. I already hold TOI (1/2 position) but don't yet own any LSPD. Would you favour adding to existing TOI or start a new (small-ish) position in LSPD. If you were to start a position in LSPD, how would you go about deciding on when to buy? I struggle with this...the stock is down quite a bit, so $60/share seems attractive but would you prefer 2-3 days of positive momentum before buying? Do you use technical analysis (I have no experience with this) when considering an entry into these growth stocks? Invariably I'm always wrong when trying to time a good entry into growth stocks but I suppose it doesn't matter too much in the long run if it performs well...

Finally, can you name 1 other growth stock you'd prefer to start a position in today (if not TOI or LSPD)?

Thanks!

Q: Hi thank you for all that you do.

I would appreciate your thoughts on a top ten list for growth plays in the US for an RRSP. (1 ETF) Time horizon is on my side as I’m a younger investor, and a dividend is not important.

Also, can you please provide a grade for each stock chosen? Ex A -E as shown in the Report section.

Would this list be any different in a TFSA? If so, why?

Thank you and please deduct points as necessary.

Nick

Q: Was wondering about continuing to hold storage vault. Heard a report on The National about a large number of break ins at there facilities. I sounded the there security systems were bogus. This may come back to bite them in the but. They may have to do some spending to improve security. Any way, to me it’s not such a no brainer as before, where all they had to do is pay the power bill to keep the lights on.

Q: If the scary inflation monster is in fact a mirage and we return next year to the old norm of global oversupply, excess savings, and stagnant growth what would be some Canadian and US stocks likely to benefit.
Thanks

Q: Management always seems to be one of the keys to the success of any company. Could you provide a list of companies that you consider to have top-notch management - any sector, any market cap but leaning towards small to mid cap, Canadian and U.S. I'm not going to put a number limit on this - just whatever you feel comfortable in providing, realizing that there may be too many to list for this type of question. Thanks.

Q: Today, stocks are on sale. Can you opine on which large and midcap CDN and US caps look like they are being hit for no fundamental reason? Thanks.

Q: With the markets down so much today (TSX 2.3%; DJIA 2.7%; NASDAQ 2%), what Can or US high quality companies look like significant buys to you? Or do you recommend waiting on the buy side until things settle a bit in the next week or so until more is known about the new COVID variant?

Q: hello 5i Research team,
I understand that the entire sector has been weak for some time. WELL is currently at its 52 week low. Based on technical analysis, what is the next support level? Could you compare WELL stock performance with a basket of North American competitors (name the list of the companies in your basket) since March 1st 2021 when WELL was at 9$ and comment. What could be catalysts for the sector? Have you seen some signs of consolidation in the sector?
Thank you for your collaboration, Eric
