Q: hello 5i:
I am interested in the above companies, but feel both are overvalued at present. Technically, HPS appears to have a "blowoff" topping pattern while ATS is consolodating. Fundamentally, both look a little stretched as far as PE, P/CF go. The subject of growth, of course, will define future gains. From past answers, you like ATS "better" than HPS.
First, can you confirm the above deductions and do a head to head comparison of the two. Second, where do you see future growth for both, and why. HPS actually looks to have the upper hand due to the "relectrification" theme as their products might attract a larger global audience. Third, can you provide what you feel are good entry points. Thanks for this comparison as there are only funds to buy one.

Q: I understand that you are keen on NVEI as a longterm growth story… could you please explain a bit more about where they fit into the fintech space - eg direct competitors, maybe comparative businesses? Thank you.

Q: Hi Peter and company,

What would be the percent weight range holding the “magnificent 7” in a portfolio for a growth investor? Are there any names you would substitute? Expand to 10?

Thanks for the great service,
Angelo

Q: Over the last 30 years my best investments by far have been with smallish to medium sized profitable businesses with good long term growth prospects that I have bought and held for 10+ years. Generally market caps of roughly $500 million Cdn. to around $5 billion Cdn. A few have generated 20, 30 times my initial cost. I am wondering about the prospects of each of these following companies producing those kind of multi-bagger returns over the next 10 or 20 years. Would you please rank these companies in order from 1 to 13 according to the likelihood that they will become another CSU, BYD, WSP, TFII, etc. that can be a big, big winner for a long term investor: ATS, ATZ, DOO, EQB, GSY, HPS.A, KXS, LMN, NVEI, TIXT, TOI, TSU, WELL. Admittedly, TOI is a little big at $8 billion market cap.

Secondly, are there any other Cdn stocks in this size range that you would say have that kind of big upside potential, and where would you place them in comparison to the above listed companies.

Q: Hello 5i Team,

I have sold MG at the top, is it a buy at this level? the stock momentum is good, car sales are on the upward momentum in the US.

You have B+ rating on MAL, do you still feel positive after the last Q?

Would you add to an existing TIXT (loss position at this point) at this level representing now only 1% of my portfolio (given your B+ rating for the company)?

Q: Good morning 5i:
Next year I will be retiring, and currently I have the outlined stocks in my RRSP, I'm happy with all of them, I think I would like to sell some of them (or trim down, slowly -no rush) and buy stocks/etf that will provide resilience , some yield, and perhaps some growth , can you please provide me with some ideas, 3 or more , I was thinking BN, add more to VFV.
Please use as many credits as required.

THANK YOU for all your help.

Q: With US inflationary concerns (hopefully) receding and the Fed finally pausing on US interest rate hikes (again hopefully) I'm hopeful the US market strength will broaden from some of the mega cap names like NVDA down to more mid-cap opportunities. Are there any mid ($2.5-20bn market cap) names you like currently/would suggest? (US or Canadian)

Q: What Canadian companies whose share price could benefit from the AI phenomenon do you know of ?

Please provide some colour to each , such as % of sales, specific AI capabilities etc.

Are there any CDN ETF’s , other than ARKK:CA that you would recommend ? This would be for my TFSA where I put my riskier investments.
Thanks. Derek
