Q: Hey team 5i: I’ve paid the price for hanging on to my Lightspeed LSPD shares. I bought into the company in the Spring of 2020, watched it reach its peak of $160.00 plus, per share and yes; was foolish enough to keep the shares during its massive decline, thinking the Company could fight off the Shorts, in much the same way Shopify did a couple of years prior. Anyway, I wish I could say you live and learn, but I just can’t seem to grasp that skill of when to sell! I’m encouraged with the recent change of leadership, but not all that confident that Dax Dasilva can make the changes necessary to bring the stock price back to where it once was! / I’ve been watching Vitalhub Corp (VHI) over the past # of weeks and note the positive commentary as it relates to it being a stock to watch! / Would it be a wise decision to sell my LSPD shares and buy into VHI? / Thank You in advance. I appreciate your great service. Stan.

Q: Hi, Celestica shares pulled back, over past 2-3 days, along with most AI related stocks. However, most of these names including CLS nicely bounced back today. I managed to start a small 1% position, yesterday at $59. Based on your favourable comments ( also in 5i Growth Portfolio), and as a strong beneficiary of the AI related future growth, I would be inclined to hold on to this as a core position and may be add more, over time. What is your view on its current valuation and where do you see the stock in, say 18-24 months from now ? Thanks

Q: Hello 5i,
On Feb 28th 5i provided answers to Jacques and David on the top 10 US and CAD stocks to own in a TFSA. Thank you for that answer.
Can you please provide the top 12 stocks overall (CAD or US) in order of priority that should be in a TFSA? We have both US and CDN funds + CDR's. Diversity is not important at this time and we are anticipating that US stocks will outnumber CAD stocks in the top 12. Funds are not required for 6 years or more.
If this was your TFSA, would you have equal weighting or will one or more of the stocks have a higher weighting compared to other stocks? If yes, can you identify the stock(s) and the % of weighting? We can equal weight the remaining stocks.
Thank you
D&J

Q: I have a full position in Amazon and a small position in Airbnb. All things being equal what do you think about reducing Amazon and increasing Airbnb?
Q: Your comments please on their quarterly results and outlook moving forward. Thanks.
Q: Hi Team,
Please help me understand why the special dividend and spin out of preferreds would cause an overhang to the stock?
Also, how long would said “overhang” (implying sideways if not downward momentum) last?

Currently, I hold Goog, SHOP, LMN & CLS. Do have a few ideas for a stock that could replace the HCAL ETF?

Q: My question today on price points for buying and selling LMN in my TFSA is derived from my experience with the ups and downs of EGLX which I rode from $1.90 to $11.00 to $.90 at which point I dumped it. I have LMN in my TFSA and it will be a long term hold. I am looking at GLXY and don’t want to repeat the EGLX story. Like EGLX , GLXY is in a “ happening “ sector with
well thought of management, a Canadian small cap expected to list on the NASDAQ. You had EGLX in the growth portfolio; recommended it at $7.00 but then eventually sold it. You saw a reason to sell that I didn’t and I paid the price. What am I to look at specifically for GLXY so I don’t repeat the same mistake ? ( Maybe I should just stay away with stocks that have the letters LXY in their ticker ! )
Thanks. Derek

Q: Shak and IOT have been recommended on US networks. How would you categorize them up against Trade Desk?
I was thinking back of when I joined 5i at the beginning because of being a mutual fund person and seeing the Sprott Growth Funds managed by Peter as being one of the top mutual funds. When I went to the Money Show I was talking to Peter and I was asking questions that now I would have never asked him due to the knowledge I have gained from 5i. I still ask difficult questions but some of the things I asked in those days are now not difficult for me due to the knowledge gained as a result of being a long member of 5i. Thanks so much.

Q: Are there a few Canadian and/or US companies that are “hiding in plain sight” that have the potential to be long term compounders similar to a CSU, MKL, ROP etc?
Q: I am wondering what Canadian companies are poised to benefit from an increase in spending on armaments by Western governments, in response to rising tensions across the world. Mining stocks could be of interest, but I'm mainly wondering about manufacturing companies.
Q: I know the valuation is high, but why is this bird just flying sky high, is it possible that they just have the best tasting wings in the business and the customers are voting with there tastebuds, and the shareholders are just eating it up.
Thanks Again

Q: I have a question about HPS. This is a small company that seems to have recently come on your radar, noting staggering growth in a stable market. With this growth rate it is still small, just cresting the 1B market value recently.
What is making it so successful? It seems like a ‘boring’ low tech company. What is its future expected growth and what is its addressable market?
Any comments would be helpful to understand how electrical infrastructure widgets became such a big new thing.
