Q: RBC Canadian Dividend Series A mutual fund has been a double for me but the mer of 1.78% is quite high compared to that charged by etf funds. Could you suggest some etf products that would work as well as the mutual fund but are cheaper?

Have been sitting on cash. jumped back in on MG and PRW at a good time. Still have U$ funds in my trading account.

I know i persist in asking about US markets and realize your position (at this time) BUT, if you could make a recommendation for growth, I would really appreciate it.

Q: I was watching QST at 2.70 a few weeks ago but was waiting for the market to turn around before buying. Well it jumped up to 3.80 already. Is it to late to buy? should i wait for a December pullback?

Q: I have a fairly well diversified portfolio however I could use some more healthcare sector exposure. I have been looking at Cipher, Knight, Concordia and Merus to initiate a small position in my TFSA. I am interested in mainly growth and have expect to hold it 3-5 years at this point in time. From your past responses, I'm guessing you like Concordia the best but it seems fairly expensive to me. Which one would you prefer or is there another I should consider.

Q: Hi Peter & 5i Team,

In your answer to Paul on Oct 28 regarding energy stocks, you wrote
"... we think you could silo them into (light,heavy,tar), (Nat Gas), (service/drillers)... We think you could cover all of the areas with 6 names ".

Could you please recommend your favourite 6 energy sector names for a GROWTH investor for the above 3 silos.

Q: I am looking at setting up an educational fund for our 1 year old grandson with an initial
5k investment. Are there any tax implications when an RESP is set up by a grandparent and if so, would an investment account in trust be more appropriate?
Either way, which holdings would you suggest I start with.

Q: I have Canadian oil and gas stock, pipeline, and power company representation. But I can't help thinking solar is an increasing part of the future, and fear I may be holding too much "old technology" investments, even given some of them have a small part of their income in windpower.

What do you think of Solarcity as a way of rounding out my power investments? Would there be an ETF that would capture solar that would be more appropriate?

Q: I'm looking at buying into the small cap biosciences sector with only growth in mind. Two companies I am currently looking at are Merus Labs (MSL) and Knight Therapeutics (GUD). I realize they aren't the same business per se and do have risk, which of these two do you believe is a safer buy longer term.
Anything else I should consider?

Q: Do you have any preferences/comments for the cybersecurity space looking at medium term growth (ie 5 to 10 years)? The leading names appear to be in the US (ie Intel, Cisco, IBM) and then there are the most recent names - PANW and FEY-Q.
