Q: Looking to replace VGRO in an RESP with good growth potential with some income. 10-15 year time horizon. I already have AQN in the portfolio.

Q: Hi there, ATZ looks like its acting well and has broken to the upside past the deal price a few months ago of 16.90. Do you consider this a bullish sign and would you endorse a position today - either half or full? Would this be your growth choice of play in Canadian retail space versus something like GOOS or CTC etc?
Can I get your latest opinion on GOOS, it hasn't been performing great. Do you see it as somewhat of a China trade proxy as it is looking to further expand into China?
Q: I don't have any communication stocks and It was suggested to increase by 8.3% by Portfolio analysis. These will have to be held in a RRSP. Would you be able to give me your top picks? Thank you so much. Love your new service.
Q: HI Peter,
I invested in Knight for long term (5 years plus) but it has been frustrating. I was going to hold on given the management teams in place; however, with the current proxy fight, I am not sure what to do. I think in all of the time i have been in the market, this company has been a major disappointment as it feels like the company just drags its feet, and I simply trusted management given the track record. Now, as a shareholder i feel I am in a tough spot. What are the negatives and the positives for holding onto the stock please? In past discussions relating to gold and other types of commodities, the best way to invest was in streaming companies or picks and shovels. Any idea why this has not translated into the cannabis stocks? For example, the stock performance for Auxly Cannibis group and radient tech has not been that great. Lastly, what do you think of Valens Groworks and Enwave? Thanks very much.
Q: Further to your reply to Andrew, it would seem that the continued distribution is reliant on the volatility of its marijuana stock holdings, and particularly the market’s opinion of the overvaluation of the holdings.
I would assume that the unit value is similarly based on that assumption. That is to say that this fund’s purpose and value is as a shorter.
Is this a reasonable analysis? Why would I want to invest here and pay the 0.75% fee, as opposed to shorting the holdings directly?
Q: hmmj offers a dividend of 5+ %. I don't think many of the underlieing shares give any dividend . where does the cash come from to pay hmmj dividend. do you think it is reasonably safe long term. I would like to invest in the pot market but have difficulty picking a single stock.
I was wondering if you knew of any Canadian listed ETFs that would be suitable for cannabis US MSO exposure.
Also, if one wanted to exposure, would you recommend an ETF such as MJJ, HMJR or HMMJ - or would you sooner buy a basket of a few big Canadian players?
Q: Hello, can you share your thoughts on Medipharm Labs Corp's recent earnings release?Seems to be positive news, good revenue all in the last month or 2, future contracts look positive. Not sure how to compare these financials to other companies like weed or acb, because Medipharm is focused mainly on Cannabis Concentrates. Thanks!
Q: Hi, These are two stocks in the portfolios which have lost 40-50% value within a short span of 12 months.( TSGI is another one, but we have already liquidated full position with 50-60% loss) TCL.a was $31, a year ago and is $16.70 now and PBH is trading at $76 after reaching a high of $120, last year. There are, of course, company specific reasons, which resulted in such steep declines. We still own both but our holding has come down to 3.5% from original 5-6%, due to loss in value. Recents results showed some positive signs for PBH but not so much for TCL.a. Looking forward, which of the two stocks, in your view, is more likely to recover over next 12-24 months, from current levels. Based on the risk and reward, is it prudent to shave each holding by 1% and reallocate the capital to better opportunities in your portfolios ? If yes, do you have a preference between the two, where risk is relatively higher ? Thank You
Q: Do you know of any recnt or upcoming announcements pertaining to Juju and Mnen that may cause it to gain some ground in the next few weeks or months? How are these 2 companies looking overall for the short and long term? Thanks
Q: QST reported quarterly and annual numbers this morning. What is your take? Annual was strong but quarter seemed to lag a bit. Key is the future. Does their 7-10 million 2019 Capex bode well? Would you be a buyer now?
