Q: What's the reason behind the big sell off (big volumes and price drops) of QSR the last few days? I find no news at all, do you hear anything? Thanks.

Thanks again,

Q: Any thoughts on Canada Goose's earnings? Looks like they reported earnings of 9 cents for the Q and $1.36 for 2019 against 6 cents and $1.30 expected (from the consensus info I have on iTrade).
Premarket, as of now, show the shares down 12%. Did GOOS miss on revenue or any other metric that is initially concerning the market? And if so, how do you feel about that miss?
In your opinion, what differentiates GOOS from becoming a Roots?
Thanks.
John

Q: What would be your top few companies to invest in today? I am looking for growth, but am also somewhat risk adverse. I have a 3 year time horizon.
Q: Good afternoon 5i Team,
Looking for the advice on building up the portfolio.
I currently have CAD RRSP and USD RRSP accounts worth $10200 and $8500 respectively.
I hold 4.3% of OSS shares and 11.4% of TRZ shares in CAD RRSP currently.
My question is whether I should still hold 2 accounts in both currencies or consolidate them in CAD going forward?
Also, what would you recommend to invest in? Risk - moderate.
Thank you and happy Friday

Q: Grand children (2) RESP's
Present total $ 30,000 with approximately 10 years to go.
Now invested:
42% Bank N Scotia
21 % Parkland Fuels
15% Savaria Corp
14% Vanguard All World ex Canada
8% Bank Savings Account
Question: With the belief a more growth oriented stock is needed to help off set the present conservative holdings I am looking for ideas.
I am thinking Open Text or CGI for additional planned contributions.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Q: You mentioned plus to a question as being in the cannabis gummy market. I noticed they had record revenues this past quarter and they are accelerating expiration of their warrants convertible at .69 US—if I understand what I am reading on the company. So my question is is it investible at this time in a TFSA for growth.
Q: Canada Goose has been criticized for its use of down, fur and wool by PETA and other sources, and there are lots of questions on the internet about their treatment of animals. Do you consider their transparency standard for ethical sourcing and use of the products "ethical enough" to withstand any public concerns and ad campaigns against it? If so, do you still consider it is a good buy at $65? They are opening 6 new stores this fall so they must feel confident. Thanks for your valued opinion on this.
Q: I understand that soon cannabis edibles will be legal in Canada.
I believe this will bigger than smoking the stuff.
( I enjoy a cookie much more than filling my lungs with smoke).
I betcha the big cookie companies are high on getting into this.
Are there any companies, large or small, that one could invest in or is it too early?
Thanks
Derek

Q: What would be your top 3 picks as of today to invest in for a 5 year timeframe. Assuming a diversified portfolio already exists.
Q: GOODFOOD LAUNCHES YUMM.CA, A VALUE MEAL KIT OPTION TARGETING COST-CONSCIOUS CANADIANS
Surprised that the stock price of FOOD has been generally declining over the last 6 weeks since announcing strong quarterly earnings. But it has perked up in the last couple of days following the introduction of the lowest price ready-to-cook option in Canada. As always, I would appreciate your analysis of this new development.

Also is there an ETF that could use as an alternate?
Thanks.

Q: Dear 5i,
What are your preferred companies in the Industrial sector? The first five that pop into your mind.
Market cap is not a consideration issue, and they can be either on the Canadian or USA exchange(s).
Thank you for all you offer.
