Q: It appears Canada has the potential to take a part in the EV revolution, yesterdays announcemenmt from Volkswagon regarding a possible gigafactory here, and this from todays FP, "Canada has seen at least 10 major electric vehicle-related commitments totalling close to $16 billion since the start of 2021 as federal and provincial governments work to secure investments in the rapidly-evolving sector." For fun lets say all this and more happens, which Canadian companies will have the most to gain?

Could you please let me know your order of preference of the three gold stocks mentioned here w.r.t carrying into the new year. If there is another that you prefer for the duration let me know.

Q: I have these names as part of my materials sector. Do you think this is a good diversified mix of companies for long term growth? I was thinking of adding in TECK. Would you add TECK to this group or swap one of the names out for TECK? If you had to consolidate to just 3 names, which ones would you pick?

AEM - 1.98%
MEOH - 0.85%
LUN - 0.68%
NTR - 1.27%

Q: Hi Peter,
I do not have any basic materials in my portfolio and have very little knowledge in this category. Do you recommend looking into having a few EFTs to cover this or dive directly into some stocks?

With whichever suggestion you have, would you please provide me a list of your perferred EFTs or companies to invest and rank them from your very best to best in terms of security (less voltility) and returns.

Many thanks,
Roger

Q: I own LUN and LGO as my way to play the electric car advance. However, they are also down considerably. Would you continue to hold for this exposure, or do you have better choices. Also, would you sell these for tax loss harvesting and re buying in 30 days. If so would you suggest an alternative proxy? Perhaps an ETF?
