Royal Canadian Mint - Canadian Gold Reserves Exchange-Traded Receipts (MNT.U $53.98)
Q: Can you explain how buying this ETR in US dollars (MNT.U) works when it is traded on a Canadian stock exchange in comparison to MNT? Am I actually getting US dollars when I sell it or are these converted to C$ with a corresponding hit because of exchange rate? Is it better to buy MNT or MNT.U? Thank you.

Q: Hello
Teck resources seems to have been headed down for quite a while
Did it get too expensive and sold off?
Is there something else weighing on this company more than tariff and recession fears?
They can sell to anyone in the world do not sure why tariffs are a big issue
Thanks

Q: Two-part question. I currently hold SIS in a cash account; still up about 16%. Given current market conditions, I am considering selling SIS and buying gold. If this were your portfolio, would you make this move? And, if yes, what is your favourite gold-related stock today?

Q: Just few more covered call gold ETF questions and I promise to stop flogging this horse and make a decision ..... Of the five ETF's 5i recommended { AMAX, CGXF,BASE,GLCC,GDXY } Could 5i give me the return, unit price gain/loss plus dividends for each ETF as a percentage ? .... As both AMAX and GDXY have only been around a year just go back for that period of time for each one. This will be long enough for me to assess as I am looking for gold volatility pre and post Trump's election.....
I notice all have an upward trend except GDXY. Could 5i speculate on the reason why ? Of course the question is does that 32.5% dividend more than make up for it ? I should be able to see that by your evaluations of returns for the other ETF's in comparison ......
And finally, hypothetically, if 5i were forced to choose one or two of these to " hide " in while assessing just exactly how bad Trump is going to make things for Canada . Which would be your two favorites, first and second, and why ? ...... Thanks for your terrific service ..... Garth .....

Q: Copper seems like it's going to be in high demand. There's also tariff possibilities. If you had a choice to invest in copper today with a 2-3 year horizon, would you do it? Any suggestions on growth companies? Thanks.
Q: NDM (Northern Dynasty Minerals) has recently seen price increases. After reviewing previous Q/A, I notice NDM has a lot of controversy. Have those problems of the past been resolved enough to justify the market's current price? Do you think it's buyable, or still too speculative?
Q: Can , you give me your take on CIA ,I am down 28% should I buy more, what seems to be the problem is the crazy politics.
Thank you
James Allore.
Thank you

Q: Just a little more clarification on my question on GDXY . First what is a " synthetic call/write strategy " ? I suspect understanding that will help me understand the very large 32.5% yield ......And second the only GDX gold stock I can find is a 5 cent stock Goldex Resources Corporation ? Which I don't find encouraging for a purchase of GDXY . Could you elaborate on the relationship ? ..... Or if I have the wrong company point me in the direction of the right stock symbol ? .... Thanks again for your terrific service ......
Q: Thoughts on MAG earnings and given they just introduced what looks like a sizeable dividend? Would you rate it higher than the other medium/large silver producers like PAAS now?

Q: Thank you for your list of available covered call ETF's . A bit to unpack here . Could 5i give me some assistance doing it ? .....
The current Yield of each ?
The structure of each ? .... { for example part of your answer was " GDXY may be of interest. " I'm assuming some leverage here as the yield shown in TD Waterhouse is 29% . How much leverage ? And what is the structure of this and the other ETF's ? }
The risk profile of each ? ...... { for example on the Yieldmax website they outright tell you GDXY is high risk . I would like to know why and what that risk is ? And a similar assessment for each ETF recommended ? }
Also if 5i were going to hide in some high yield covered call gold ETF's until after April 2/25 { tariff day } and likely longer as I'm convinced it isn't going to be a good year for Canada. Put a numerical value for each ETF listed from one to ten with one being most favored and ten being least favored and why ?
Also if there are any tax consequences inside a RRIF ?
Thank you for your terrific service .....
