Q: Any opinion on AQA? The company suggests they have 900,000 ounces of gold, Hudbay spent some development money but decided not to proceed. I realize Hudbay has its challenges and is trying to develop a much bigger deposit in South America I think. I suppose AQA is "dead-in-water" for the forseeable future.

Q: Would like an update on Alexco (AXR), in light of the flow through they did April 1st. I thought they had lots of cash and while they did get a 10% premium the price has come down a lot more than that in the previous month. thanks

Q: I think the added category of "Investor Resources and Strategies" was a great suggestion. It's clear from some of the answers to member questions that you are expecting the current downward momentum in, for example, junior mining and gold/silver stocks to continue for a bit. Could you provide some guidance - technical and/or other - on what you look for to determine when sector momentum shifts either up or down? Would these signals change with different sectors ? Thank you.

Q: Good Morning Peter and Team,
I have been very slowly averaging into the gold mining sector over the last year using ETF's- IShares XGD and BMO's ZJG along with equities- Central Fund of Canada (CEF.A- TSX) and Silver Bullion Trust (SBT.UN- TSX). So far it has been like catching a falling knife and I look pretty stupid but I truly believe that we are still in a long term secular bull market in precious metals. Do you think we are approaching the "PUKE POINT" for this wave or cycle ??? Also I would appreciate your opinion of my stategy.
Thank you very much. DL

Q: Hi Peter and team,

I would like your thoughts about Coeur d'Alene's purchase of Orko. There are three options on the table for shareholders to consider: A)70cents cash , 0.0815 of a common share of Coeur and 0.01118 of a warrant to purchase Coueur shares at $30 doallars for each Orko share B)To receive 0.1118 of a common share of Coeur and 0.01118 of a warrant to purchase a Coeur share for each share tendered (subject to proration) or C)Cash and Warrants (subject to Proration) to recieive 2.60 in cash and 0.01118 of a warrant to purchase a Coeur share for each share tendered.
I would be making a tiny profit on option C and Orko was my only exposure to the Silver mining sector at this moment.

Which option would you recommend and why? I guess your opinion about Silver prices going forward, and Silver miners (Couer)in general, would be needed to help understand your perspective.
Thanks in advance,

Arturo

Q: Hi 5i team. With the price of gold declining for the last six months, what events would trigger a rebound in gold and when do you foresee such turnaround? What would be signs of investors capitulating on beaten down gold shares ? I understand that it is best to wait for the sector to stabilize before buying company specific stocks such as St Andrews Goldfields which I own but am under water ....for now!!! Thank you

Q: I've traded Trevali (TV) a couple times, looking at it again. Typically how do flow through share issues like they recently announced (just a few % above present trading with 4 month hold) affect the share price? Buy now or wait 4 months and see what happens? When money is spent over the next year on exploration obviously in 4 months it shouldn't affect share price in that time frame? thanks

Q: Hi Peter - I'm interested in hearing your comments on Serengeti Resources (SIR) on the Vancouver Exchange trading now at about 0.08 Like many of the junior mining companies it has done poorly over the past year but I'm wondering if there might be other reasons for its declining stock price. Also on March 20 it announced an issue of about 2.6 million stock options which can be exercised for shares at 0.12 with a five year time horizon. First of all is this kind of announcement generally negative for the company and specifically should I be concerned that the price of 0.12 is only 4 cents above the current price. Thanks.

Q: Hi 5i
I see you liked Allied Nevada (ANV) back in Nov. It has come off with all the golds, is it a buying opportunity, or am I trying to catch another falling knife.
thanks
