Q: Hi Peter,
With the price of gold fluctuating from day to day, what is the market telling us about the Fed and the economic numbers looking forward. Seemed like the price of gold was stabilizing last week and has now become an exercise in frustration. Some suggest that it is a good time to buy beaten down small-cap gold stocks such as SAS.
Thank you and have a good day.

Q: Good afternoon,

I know 5i was swamped, but was looking for a definition of production costs and total costs of gold. Rio Alto's most recent earnings release points to a near double between the two. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Eric

Q: Is the Rainy River (RR) take out by New Gold the start of many more take outs or just a one of. How will this affect some of the other small gold explorers or even some that are in production like LSG, SAS, BRD etc.
Thanks Doug

Q: Hi Peter. TGZ (Teranga Gold) is a gold producer. Other than the fact that they operate in Senegal and do have some debt, what is really wrong with this company? Your feedback is appreciated. Thanks

Q: Would appreciate your opinion of Revett Minerals (RVM). Will they have enough cash to get back into production and work through their problems? thanks

Q: Hi Peter. I have a question about a very small cap stock, called Volta Resources (VTR). This compaany has about 5 million oz of M & I Gold and they are very close to where Randgold operates. This stock has been selling of indiscriminately, in my opinion.I would consider VTR a perfect buy out opportunity. Why would a 5 million oz deposit go for waste when seniors are looking to replenish their ounces. Your feedback is appreciated. Thanks,

Q: Good Morning Team...
Even though the US 10 yr has risen in the last few days, which normally spells fund flow to equities, a pullback in the overall market looks imminent. Would it be realistic to expect a small $50+ rally in the price of gold, and would Goldcorp be your favoured large cap.TIA Smokey

Q: Hi Peter & 5i: Can you please update your thoughts on Colossus Minerals (CSI)? I used to own it at much higher levels and it looks really beaten down now. In particular, the last couple of days have seen even further lows on above average volume following their recent director elections. Is there more than just the weak sector going on here? Also, is there usually a close correlation between the prices of gold and platinum/palladium? Thanks!

Q: Hi Peter

Argonaut Gold (AR) has had a recent move. Would you sell into the strength or wait for further recovery. I'm underwater somewhat but could wait if the longer term prospects look compelling.

Thanks

Q: Peter,

ANV was a gold stock you liked in the past. When compared to DGC they have lower costs per ounce of gold. They also issued shares at 10.75 which is much higher than what DGC is getting for their shares. Which would you prefer from both and why? Thanks

Q: Hi Peter and Team, regarding Detour, DGC...this is such a dirty deal!! Seems like Detour has taken a detour itself, from common sense. Is it time to exit with a loss at this point? I took the do nothing suggestion by you and got burnt by these fools at DGC! Can existing share holders put a stop to this lunacy and stupidity? Management and Board should be flogged, tarred and feathered because of this deal...obviously I'm damn angry with this deal!! Thanks.

Q: Hi. I'm not too happy with the financing deal Detour (DGC) did today, so I'll probably sell this week. Either they needed a lot of money to finance a significant problem quickly (red flag) or management lost their minds (bigger red flag)!
To replace it, I'm considering Premier Gold (PG), McEwen Mining (MUX) or Sandstorm (SSL); or maybe a small silver - Scorpio Mining (SPM). What are your thoughts...thanks again!!
