Q: Detour has been spoken about favourably on BNN and I've seen some "outperform" ratings. You seem not to have been too keen on it a while ago - what is your latest opinion? I am late to the gold scene, but would like to jump in to get some protection. If not DGC, what would you recommend?

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.
Q: Do you know anything about the above 2 companies, supposed there are solid people behind gpy and red eagle is just starting to produce, are these buy able or ignore. Dave
Q: Lightbridge Corp (LTBR) is a US company I am following. It is in the development stage of nuclear fuel based on a uranium/thorium blend to increase the efficiency of existing nuclear reactors as well as decreasing byproducts. This is interim to the next generation reactors. It has several patents in play. I have not completed all my research on this company and have noted its share price steadily falling.
What I have done a lot of research on is the potential of nuclear energy particularly for China and India. When one is investigating a company such as this and the time frame of testing a prototype is in 2017 with plans 3 years out for full implementation, when along this path is a logical place to take a small position. Having asked this question though I am cautious and have more to learn about the company specifically.
Thanks
Lou

Q: I was wondering if you could comment on the results of Wesdome's recent AGM, and on its performance today. As you may be aware, there were several serious concerns voiced by the majority shareholder in advance of the meeting. If you are not familiar with the company, I would ask that you review both the following releases before commenting:

If you do not feel comfortable commenting on this company, and/or speaking about your viewpoint of the results of the recent AGM, please let me know. In any event, I look forward to your response. Thank you very much.

Q: A long time ago, long before 5i, I bought MMP.UN as a way of owning some gold exposure for insurance. I have held it far too long. Looking at it now, I see it has a high MER, mostly junior golds, and a bit of a dividend, much less than when I bought it. Would I be better off to have XGD for this portion of my portfolio? ZJG probably has all the same juniors as MMP.UN
Thanks. Until I joined 5i I never used to look at details like this

Q: Hi 5i, what are your thoughts on the gold sector moving forward? I do not own any gold stocks currently, but I'd like some exposure up to an appropriate amount. Can you recommend a low risk name and a higher risk name to add? Thanks again. Mark

Q: What would you consider as the best gold producer to buy now?
Q: Hi, my question is on Mega Uranium, MGA. There has been a lot of insider buying recently. Aside from any merits that Mega may have with its own exploration potential, they also appear to have a sizable share holding in Nexgen Energy which is emerging as the premier stock to own in the Athabasca Basin based on the long vertical interval and the fact that it is not under a lake which provides good access. It looks like this share holding alone is more than the market cap of the whole company. Would this be a good way to invest in Nexgen, while at the same time reap any potential at Mega, which also has cash holdings? In brief, this looks like an opportunity since the market isn't seeming to value their investment in Nexgen? Could you also please add these two companies to your database?
Q: Using Uranium as a fuel seems like a no-brainer. It is available, cheap, and naturally disintegrates energy by half-life. Nuclear reactors make electricity, produce no CO2, and should last 50-60 years with proper maintenance. Why are "climate change" countries not rushing into nuclear energy and be done with "fossil fuels"?
The questions I have are:
1. How many years does it take to pay back the cost and be nuclear profitable?
2. For me, Chernobyl was the only disaster, 3 mile bend was a scare and Japan was poor private maintenance.
3. Will the world not see this as the best alternative compared to huge wind farms, solar acres, trainloads of crude or pipelines everywhere.
4. Does 5i see the day in the near future when nuclear is the answer to the carbon imprint and pollution.
Thank you, I read 5i everyday. Rene

Q: Hi Peter and team :
I would to add some physical gold exposure, as a form of insurance for future inflation, probably between 3 to 4 % of portfolio.
Is CEF.A a good one ?, are there other out there that are similar (BMG Funds)?? I have read that some of these funds hold "paper gold" and in case of a sharp increase in gold price they would not be able to deliver physical gold.
Is it reasonable in your view to hold 5% of physical gold as insurance?

Q: Hi, further to my previous question, I was told by BMO investorline that for those who did not choose prior to closing of the deal will have to wait 2 or more weeks for sso to finalize on the share exchange or cash based on majority vote. I am not sure how much would that be? Would appreciate your clarification .Thanks.
Q: Hi 5i team, what happened to crj? if own, what to do with it?
Q: I hold this from last year {2015} when in the model portfolio. I am still down but if momentum is any indicator should I continue to hold or sell and( move into maybe SJ also 2.5% currently.) FM has come back big time to a 2% position from an original 2.5%.
