Q: There is a lot mentioned about digital currency being adopted by central banks - last heard to-day on Michael Campbell's show, Replacing fiat currency? In which case the central banks and by extension governments or their agencies would be able to control what we spend it on and monitor us in terms of their political agenda - a good example is this climate change fiasco whereby they use it to tax us. What do you think the mechanism would look like to replace fiat with digital? And, how would gold pricing be affected - increase demand and thus the price?

Q: What do you think about this company? Do they have lots of debt? They just received some government funding and I think they are in talks with a major producer. (please confirm) Is this a serious producer? Odds of buyout?
Q: Hello - what are your thoughts on Lithium investing and the best way to invest if it's a "good time". Specific company or ETF? Many thanks
Q: I have held MRE in my TFSA for the past couple of years and have done "okay".
However, I'm looking at moving into something with more total return potential and am considering either BTO or DPM, as I feel both could do well in a strengthening gold market (which I can foresee over the next year or so).
Which would you lean towards and why?
Thanks, Rick

Q: I plan to add to my gold stock holdings as I have recently sold some bullion. I have concerns about unsafe jurisdictions such as Panama even though I would consider Franco-Navada because of its recent haircut.
May I have a couple of stocks in each of the small, mid and large cap size that are more politically secure and are quality companies?
With appreciation,
Ed

Q: Please, rank from most to least recommended and why? Are there any companies outside of Canada that you think might be preferable? If so, how would you rank them? If there is any other information that you believe might be useful then let me know.
Q: Any idea what is going on with this company/stock. Thx James
Q: Can I have ur opinion on this?have owned for a bit and is a major disappointment. Move on or hang in ?
Q: Good day all. Back in august 2023 you mentionned Mewmont might not be the best choice for a gold miner. Morningstar US is recommending it this week and rates it as undervalued. What is your opinion on this stock at this time? Is it a good time for gold stocks? I need a materials stock for my TFSA or Cash account. If not this one can you please suggest another? Please deduct neccessary questions credits. Thank you.
Q: I see opportunity here to purchase a company that has a single resolvable problem that will not cost any more capital other than that which was lost. Reputational damage will be in the rearview mirror in 12 months. Likely sooner than that the shareprice will begin catching the developing favorable winds of the precious metals sector.
Would 5i agree, dissagree, or add anything to this brief thesis?

Q: Cameco, Denison, and Mega Uranium are really ripping today on good volume. The charts look good in my view, these names have moved up steadily for quite a while now. News now out that the worlds largest producer Kazatomprom has a large shortfall in supply. I just took a meaningful position in Denison Mines. I vividly recall the uranium mania that took hold in 2007 prior to fukishama and the parabolic movements that took place in the stock charts with respect to uranium.
What do you believe are the similarities/differences re: events that shaped the frenzy in 2007 versus the excitement today about these names. Could these names have similar parabolic moves in your opinion ?

Q: In a situation where you wanted 5% gold exposure as a hedge against negative market volatility/downside risk, etc., would you prefer IAUF or some combination of ABX/BTO/ORA?
Thanks for this!

Q: As per Martin Pelletier's article in the Financial section of this morning's National Post, I believe that oil (and/or oil & gas) will be a good hedge against general political and market turmoil this year. Would PDBC be a good alternative?
Q: CCO Stares up sharply yesterday along with other Uranium Shares. Uranium hit $ 91.00 a pound recently.
Your thoughts ? Is URN.M the best play or NXE RAK

Q: There are some rumours ABX will step in with a bid to takeover FM. I understand ABX has experience taking over mining companies shut down by 3rd World Governments. Then smoothing things over with the government leading to a re-start. FM certainly seems to be a candidate with their big debt. Not sure if the rumour is going to come true so I would take a pass for now. “Buy on Rumour, Sell on News” seems in this instance to be bad advice. However governments need some money coming in and their people need income too.
