Q: Silver stocks vs Gold stocks. They both move together however Silver has an industrial use where gold does not. Both are used in Jewellery. Would it not be prudent to invest in only silver stocks and not gold stocks for better future leverage ? Bob

Q: I am looking for additional Canadian Silver producers than the three I mentioned. Thank you Bob
Q: Good afternoon, as a follow up question on metrics this one for mining. Looking at comp tables from Royal if I understand correctly. First they determine the net asset value of the company on forward commodity curves and from this you get the discount to NAV. On a p/e and p/cfps it is more expensive but is cheaper on ev/ebitda with a discount to nav of 37.8%. -21% debt and div of .16$ US now. Sounds like an option to reduce exposure to utilities while collecting a nice dividend.
Am I missing something ?
Thanks

Q: What are your thoughts on gold as a hedge for inflation and rising rates? If favourable, what would be the best way to play it -- gold company stock, gold ETF or physical gold? Any suggestions on gold ETF's or stocks that look good to buy currently?
- Chemtrade Logistics Income Fund (CHE.UN)
- BMO Equal Weight Global Base Metals Hedged to CAD Index ETF (ZMT)
Q: Hello 5i team,
I hold in the materials sector Chemtrade Logistics, Methanex and Stella Jones; I'm thinking of selling CHE to buy a position in base metals
1. Is there any momentum left after the huge run up?
2. Nevsun has not participated in the run-up; wonder why
3. What 3 would you recommend, in order of preference
4. How about an ETF such as XBM or ZMT?
Thanks
Antoine

Q: I have no metals or minerals in my portfolio. I seem to be getting a late start on this sector but I was deterred by negative EPS in most of these companies. If you could suggest one company to start, what would you suggest. I am a balanced investor and have been looking at LIF because of its dividend and HBM and CS for growth and concentration in copper.
Q: I think Aquila has been raising money by selling shares which were over-subscribed. It looks like insiders have purchased 24% of the issued shares. Finder's fees (cash and warrants) have been awarded to company insiders I suppose. Certainly there has been share dilution but surely dilution is preferable to borrowing money against non-existant cash flow. I know the stock is high risk but my exposure is very low - less than 0.1%.
2 questions...
Does everything still look OK to 5i?
Does Hudbay own any part of the Back-Fourty target?
Thanks
Jim

Q: I would like to add another gold name and am looking for something of a low cost, levered play. I currently own Silver Wheaton, Agnico and the Central fund in my portfolio. Can you offer me a couple complimentary names? Thank you
Q: CS has reached 52 week high, is it still a buy at current price? What's the debt levels in this company and potential growth? Thanks,
- Freeport-McMoRan Inc. (FCX)
- Teck Resources Limited Class B Subordinate Voting Shares (TECK.B)
- Miscellaneous (MISC)
Q: I have some US cash and think I will deploy it in a copper stock because of the upward price pressure on copper. Could yo recommend some names that I can pick up using US dollars?
Q: mnd has had a fair amount of insider selling by a few insiders , besides gmt, from november thru january, I can understand if options are exercised or other reasons but this seems a bit above the norm to me and makes me wonder if something is wrong here. mnd does not seem to participate in the gold rallies. No insiders have stepped in to buy at these levels. Have you heard any thing that may account for the selling and under performance? Do you still like the company? I am considering a purchase here to maybe a 2% equity weighting.
thanks Tom

Q: What do you think of copper going forward? Is there any other metal you think should do well in this cycle? If yes, what companies would be preferred by you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: Can you comment on the recent run up on Mega's price over the past year. Do you figure there is any further upside potential and or support for gains? Have some play money and wondering whether to take a chance on it. Thank you.
Q: Any insights into this story would be appreciated. Are the new highs justifiable?
Q: Hello Team, Elon Musk is building his battery Gigafactory in Sparks Nevada. It appears there are 14 other battery Gigafactories on the drawing boards, soon to be built around the world. The demand for batteries to power EV's and everything in your house will continue to push up the demand for Lithium. ALB controls 22% of world Li supply, so seems like a good large cap choice. For a more speculative pic I am considering, PE,LAC, or GALXF. Do you have any thoughts on these stocks or other Li stocks you prefer? Thanks Team Chris
Q: RIC is up yesterday and today with what appears to be slightly heavier trading. Would you happen to have any insight to share?
Thank you
