Q: I currently hold a 4% position in BTO. I don't generally like this sector but have been holding because its "generally recommended" to hold 5% gold/metals position. Right now I'm flat on it so there is no cap/gain or loss to influence a trade.
Do you consider BTO ok to hold at this level and/or should I hold lets say 2% positions in two or three alternatives and if so what would you recommend?
My time frame is 10 years plus.
Thanks
John

Q: Thinking of tax loss selling franco nevada and buying kirland lake gold. Would it be prudent to do that now or wait for the winter? Kirkland has been outperforming its peers for awhile.
Q: Your thoughts on CEE for gold exposure - it has been beaten up a lot lately.
Q: Hello Team,
I have owned WPM in the past. The stock moves up and down a lot. Is it time to buy WPM if you have a min. of 1 year hold period? The sell off looks overdone to me.
David

Q: I am paying off my mortgage and had planned to sell my holdings in WPM to help do that....was just waitng until this month when the mortgage term ends....bang... WPM down around 20% in the past month...
Should I hold for a rebound ( I have other holdings I am thining out that can easily make up for it) or is it a lost cause the next 6-18 months. The plan is to ditch it eventually anyway but had not planned on a 20% drop. If just a short term cyclical blip would lean towards holding, if in your opinion it is a fundamental problem with the company I would just suck it up and use the loss to offset my gains from other sales in this tax year.

Q: Would you be a buyer of gold stocks right now and if so which ones?
Q: Good Morning,
Can I please get your opinion on the high grade gold discovery at their Beta Hunt mine? The market seems to like it with the shares up 80%, looks like they are reconsidering selling this property?
Thanks

Q: What’s the short interest on KL?
Q: I'm considering buying an out of the money call on AEM expiring next Jan. or Feb . As you're aware the stock and call prices are very depressed at this time. If gold prices take of at some point, the calls should do quite well. I now own a small position in GDX at a sizeable loss (20%)
Your comments appreciated.

Q: With precious metals, and most other metals at depressed levels, and with junior oil and gas out of favour, is it sensible to believe that only superior issues will find financing? Therefore Is now the time to buy flow through shares?
Q: Hello Peter, do you recommend topping up the sector exposure as it has fallen . if so, do you suggest adding to AEM or buy XGD.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Hi there,
Do you know if there is a minimum holding period for this Sprott product? If so, how long is it and what is the penalty for early sale? I have contacted Sprott four times with no reply. Tx.

Q: Good afternoon 5i team
My wife and I are retirees and conservative investors. On the recent decline, I initiated a 1% position (in total) in the captioned gold stocks; it added diversification to our portfolio. Given that gold securities could suffer in a general market decline, I'm wondering if I should continue to add towards a 5% position now, or wait for further possible declines to increase our position. Thank you for your comments. Edward

Q: I have seen you reference PHYS as a good way to play Gold, what are your thoughts on PSLV and Silver in general?
Q: HI guys, I am getting scrubbed clean in my bath with NGD. What is your insight & opinion on them as a buyout or merger partner? Their Blackwater project with 9 mill. ozs. is $1.8B to build. They cannot do it themselves. Is a partner or an outright sale of this project or for the whole company a likely move given their hi debt levels? Your valued thots please. Thanx. Sean
Q: Could you update on Novagold, Cash position and management?
Thank you
