Q: I have a question about gold I want some thought on please.
I'm considering taking a position (about 5% of portfolio) in gold for a medium term hold. Given the potential volatility of individual gold stocks I am thinking of an ETF, likely XGD. Two questions, do you recommend entering at this point and if so...... should I consider an ETF of mostly large caps such as XGD, or would you recommend balancing the position with an ETF with more of a junior focus. Would a position in a streaming company such as Franco Nevada accomplish the same thing?
Q: I have 3k share of SPE at $7.50 at my cash account. I am thinking to sell it and buy AGB for long term hold. I already own KL and BTO. A few analyst said ABG is undervalued. Could I have your thought please and details of AGB? Thanks always
Q: Hi 5i Team;
I would like to invest in gold and/or silver. Would you please suggest your favourite small cap producers that could be ten baggers, and also; a couple of explorers or developers that have a excellent prospects in the next three years.
Thanks a bunch!
Q: Peter and team , I watch BNN a lot six or eight moths ago it was a subject and it was felt this company should be at double the share cost . I bought some shares but I am only up 5% , could you give me your views on this company.
Jim.
Q: It seems to me that the 30% drop in Detour Gold is way overdone. Do you agree? DGC has quite a high percentage of shares owned by institutions (>60% I believe). Could this big drop be due to computer programmed selling - sheep following sheep, etc.? I bought a small position in DGC several months ago, thinking it's a high cost producer but has a lot of reserves, so it could be a good leveraged investment if the POG rises significantly. Has anything really changed with this new guidance?
Q: I hold Teck and Nutrien with the balance of my resource holdings in XMA. I have an equal amount of funds in each. I am considering selling XMA to purchase LIF. I know this will give me less diversity, but Teck and Nutrien are major weights in XMA which is otherwise heavy in gold stocks with low dividends and weak growth. At least LIF would give me decent dividends. What do you think? Thanks.
With respect to cyclicity of markets and sectors, you recently commented that materials is a sector that is "picking up". Briefly, which sectors are "picking up" and which are slowing down and is there a general time frame that these cycles work on?
Q: Please expand upon your answer from January. The answer you gave was 1 minute on google. Robert Friedland 16% (I like to follow winners) who are the other players, who is management. They sound good but do they know how to get it done. Are they really connected in China?
Q: Good day, what do you think about the consolidated production results released by MUX yesterday? Is it a good time to buy at this price ?
What is the Net Asset Value of MUX?
Thanks
Q: Could we get your thoughts on this company? While obviously speculative, any input on what you think their likelihood of success would be very helpful.
