Q: What is your recommendation for gold exposure in a long-term portfolio?
Q: OGN's has reported consistently good results and the share price has responded accordingly, such that it trades, now, at pennies below its target price (per your database.) Likewise, while it's profitable, its P/E is 143. Is its appreciation potential baked-in, or do royalty plays' different capital structures (vs mining) recommend different yardsticks?
Q: US Debt. How long before it sets off a crisis in the stock and bond markets. Is there declining interest in buying American treasuries today? And do you think there is a real risk to the dollar being replaced as the world standard. US politics and media are oblivious to this looming issue, or do you believe this is just paranoia.
Q: I have a position in Lun.ca and considering selling and buying Cs.ca for a 2 to 3 year hold on the premise of a better return. Could you compare these 2 companies and give your thoughts on this strategy? Thanx.
Q: Do you see any issue in using the PALL ETF for investing in Palladium ? Do you see any issue in investing a small portion of my precious metals segment in Palladium at all ?
Q: Hi there, I own Cameco and intend to do so for the long term. Normally I like to follow one of your portfolios so I can buy / sell when you do and don't need to think too hard about it. But Cameco is not in that portfolio. Two questions (deduct credits accordingly please):
1. What are your thoughts on Cameco for a long-term holding generally?
2. What "user instructions" would you share for a person owning this stock in particular? Eg would you suggest taking profits now and again if/when it's up, because it's cyclical, etc.? One of your recent responses on a different question got me thinking about this.
Thanks very much.

Q: I have a 4% exposure to the materials sector, and roughly 23% exposure to technology. I have been considering initiating a position in Newmont Corporation, as I feel the precious metals sector will continue to show strength over the next few years, and my portfolio would likely benefit from the standpoint of improved diversification. I currently have a position of 2% in each of Lumine Group and Shopify. I like both of these companies, but my circumstances require me to part with one position in order to start another.
Would you consider a position in NGT to have better prospects than either LMN or SHOP, or would I be better off staying with what I have, and attempting to raise cash over the next several months to initiate a position in NGT?

Q: Considering the holdings (with low or no dividends) ,I wonder how this etf can offer 6% dividends,if it is really a 6% dividend, should we deduct +/-15% foreign tax in RRSP account, since most Cies are foreign Cies out of USA..thanks for your always excellent comments

How about the payout ratio Do you think the annual dividend can stay above 9% going forward ?
