Q: Hi group I believe that Tech + health + gold will be the leaders when we come out of recession. Can you give me a list of 2 ETFs for each sector along with 2 individual stocks you like for Canada + USA. Am also interested you take on my sectors that will lead the recovery and should I start picking away or wait ??? (I believe the market are vastly overbought and does not factor in the economic reality that the virus is going to do to the market. Please deduct credits at your discretion.
Q: Multi year lows.
Would you consider this a good entry point for a 3-5 yr. hold
What do make of the departure of Matt Gili, president and ceo
Thank you

Q: As my hedge against what I believed would be the possible decline of the U.S. dollar as the U.S.A. issued more and more debt, gold producers K and NGT have come to represent roughly 5% of my portfolio. With the uncertainty caused by Covid-19, K and NGT have increased in value nicely and have served as a useful hedge against declines elsewhere in my portfolio. Now with all the government assistance, I believe that government balance sheets everywhere will be seriously strained, but as this is a worldwide phenomenon perhaps the U.S. dollar will not fare so badly against the rest of the world. Is it time to take profits in K and NGT ?

Q: Hi 5i team, Alacer stock softened on the first day (May 11th) after the deal announcement with SSR. Since end of the day on Monday May 11th the stock is up approx. 25% in 5 trading days. In your opinion, is the market expecting a competing bid or is this bid up in the stock a recognition of the synergies that will occur with the merger?
Thanks
Rob
Thanks
Rob
Q: I have held this for a while in my cash account and is well under underwater (65%). I could sell at a loss to offset gains. In your opinion what are the chances it will recover in the short to medium term? Would it be better to harvest the loss and buy something with better prospects for growth? What would you buy in its place, sector not an issue? I have a fairly well diversified portfolio including some gold.

Q: Hi Group questions on gold - I have 4 gold stocks with the following returns YTD
- GLD = 5.19%
- GDXJ = 13.36%
- AEM = 23.29%
- FNV = 10.82%
Why is GLD lagging should I sell in and reinvest AEM or GDXJ ? or do you have a favorite?
Also what % of my $850,000 portfolio should I have in Gold in the present uncertain economy presently these stocks represent 8% can I go to 10% or 15 % considering the present problems in the world - I am a moderate risk investor thanks for your guidance on this + Deduct credits as you see fit

Q: Orefinders resources and Mistango River are related exploration companies in the Kirkland Lake gold area.CaN you comments on either? They have recently raised meaningful monies.
Q: Shandong Gold, a Chinese Gold company, recently bought TMAC Resources which has an interest in Hope Bay project. This may be a small deal but does the 5I Team know if the Canadian Government has any measures currently in place to protect our vulnerable Canadian corporations in weak sectors like energy from foreign predators.
Thank You

Q: Hello Peter and team,
What is your opinion at current levels for near to mid term? There was a significant price movement today and is it correct to attribute to the price movement in copper alone?

Q: Your thoughts on IMG recent news? Is it bad for the stock? My average price is $5.20. Is IMG a hold or sell right now? If sell should I replaced with WM for long term hold? Wondering what date is the gold futures changed monthly? Thanks as always.
Q: Hi Guys
Just wondering if you could comment on Fortuna's recent earnings and financing, and prospects going forward? Would this be a company you would be comfortable buying, in a well diversified portofolio, up to a 1/2 position?
Thanks Stuart

Q: As I understand Golden Valley (gzz.v) owns 45%, or 5.6 million shares, of Abitibi Royalties (rzz.v). Abitibi has a market cap of c$275 million. That puts Golden Valley's share of Abitibi alone at c$123 million market value. But Golden Valley's market cap is only c$72 million. CEO of Golden Valley is chairman of both boards. Same CFOs. Abitibi is buying back/reducing share count aggressively. What am I missing in these valuations?
Q: Could you please give me your current thoughts on Northern Dynasty Minerals. In August you mentioned that their Pebble project once again has a way forward. They continue to move slowly forward on getting the project permitted. With Alaskas current heavy dependency on oil jobs and revenue in serious decline, mineral projects will become ever more important source of revenue for them.
As always thanks for the great insights and advice.
John

Q: I'm looking at buying gold bullion etf and try to decide between CGL.C and PHYS which has a slightly lower expense ratio. What's the plus and minus for each of these ETFs and what will be your preference and why? Thanks for sharing your insight.
