Q: Our portfolio is (currently) considerably light in Materials. Considering the current economic cycle, how comfortable are you with putting more into this segment now, and to what percent of an otherwise balanced portfolio? Which companies would you consider must-haves in this segment?

Q: Do you have a positive outlook on Major Drilling ?
With an increasingly positive spin on commodities
specifically metals for this reference, seems to me to be entering a secular bull as society tries to accomplish a greener world , that will require a lot of metals.

Q: How do you feel about gold going forward? Any recommendation for an etf or specific company?
Q: With the price of gold bullion falling the dividend yields for several gold miners is looking attractive. At a selling price of $1,700 and a production cost of ~$900 it would seem that dividends are not at risk. Would you agree that this is an opportune time to purchase some the miners who have attractive dividend yields? I have listed three which are on my watch list. Are there others you consider worthy of further investigation?
Thank you

Q: Your opinion on Teck today and would you buy it and why?

Q: I am trying to decide between re-visiting my happily profitable experience with Mkango vs investing in Robex. Different mineral exposures, of course, but both in Africa. Which would be your pick for the speculative portion of a portfolio?

Could you list two of each?
Thanks
Jeff

What's your opinion on Ivanhoes Private Placement. Robert Friedland has a decent track record for making money for shareholders , or has all the easy money been made, unfortunately I was shook out last April

Q: Hi 5i,
WDO reported earning today. In your opinion how did they do this time, considering they missed last 7 out of 8 quarters. Have future prospects improved?
Currently down 40% on this one, so based on earnings/forecasts would you continue to hold or move on?
I do have 2- 3 year time frame but have started to lose confidence in this company.
Could you suggest a potential replacement with better prospects in the space?
Thx
Jim

Q: I've been a holder of AR since August of last year and am aware that timing is both difficult and frustrating but with the price of gold falling week after week and Ar becoming perhaps way oversold ,I am now looking at adding to my position for the long term. Can you also comment on seasonality, wether it is reliable and will inflation pick up in the second half of 2021 as there seems to be quite the debate about the latest !
Many thanks,
Jean

Q: Thoughts on the ROXG quarter and thier guidance. Do you consider this holding a good choice for a smaller cap gold producer or do you prefer others?
Q: I have roughly equal positions in the above and am thinking of selling GSG, which is doing ok but no dividend, and increasing my positions in NTR and LUN. Your thoughts, please? Any downside to this? Is the upside of the dividend worth it? Thanks

Q: In the last few months, gold has not been doing poorly, falling back from its recent highs. I would appreciate your thoughts as to why it is not doing well, and whether you think this is just a period of consolidation, before a large upturn. I would have thought that in today's market (with forecast inflation, market and political turbulence, large government deficits) it would have supported a large increase in gold price. However, this is clearly not happening at the current time.
Your thoughts on this market dynamic would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks again for this wonderful service, and your valued advice.
