Q: Good morning,

As some of my rate reset preferreds are being recalled, I have been looking for replacements with more term. One that looks attractive is MFC.PR.Q. It pays a dividend of 4.7% until June 2023. The price has dropped from $25 to under $24 in the last 5 days increasing the yield to almost 5%. I have noticed that preferreds have been volatile lately. Is there anything wrong with this one?

Q: Looking at these for my TFSA and for me it’s a tough call. GSY is getting more reasonable price wise but could rising interest rates hurt it ? MG is
cheap but supply chains are clogged and materials getting scarcer and more expensive.
Which would be your pick and why ?

Q: Hi!
I am wondering what your thoughts are on BNS right now and whether there is more risk to this bank with operations in Latin America. I remember it was once your favorite bank and am wondering how you would rank the big five banks based on current geopolitical situation.

Q: Hi,
I am puzzled by Intact's jump in price today, it isn't earnings related, but seems rather significant. Also, given that they have just issued preferred's at 5.25%, would you rate these as a good addition to a diversified portfolio looking to add a lower volatility holding for income? Q: Re: Cryptocurrency in general; Luna in particular
My colleague informed me a bit about the Terra "algorithmic stablecoin platform" with Luna as its default currency, which is pegged to the USD.
Notwithstanding the complexities around crypto, and the thousands of "coins" out there, what do you think about the case for investing in cryptocurrency in general, and Luna in particular, as a small part (no more than 5%) of a long term, buy and hold portfolio.
