Q: I have a 3.85% postion in XGD right now with a 22% loss so far. My question to you is should I be cost averaging in this ETF or should i cut my losses and take that money and invest in another sector on the way up. Q: I typically like to use what I view as short term blips to buy good quality companies. However, sometimes what I think of as a short term blip turns into multiple other issues. Do you think that the dip in BNS share price is a buying opportunity, or would you be worried that there may be other issues lurking?

It looks good on paper - good diversification, good dividends, but on the other hand performance over 5 years pales in comparison to something like BNS.
Is it worth it for the instant diversification in the financial sector, or are you better with 2-4 stocks?
