Q: I was fortunate to buy into this stock and thanks for your recommendation by way of including it in your model portfolio. My position has now grown to 7%. I have a high risk tolerance , do not need the proceeds for personal cash flow. Given the momentum I am targeting a 10% position at which time I will trim back to likely 7%. Is my thinking ok or am I being overly agressive. Thanks John

Q: Happy Saturday 5i researchers,
With rates peaking and might be cutting next year, bank shares seem responding favourable. What about insurance sectors? Do you see tailwind for insurance sectors as well, or they are different from banks? Thanks.

Q: Hello 5i
Some time ago you were positive on Lending Club. What caused you to sour on it and with interest rates about to drop does that change your view?
Thank you
Dave

Q: Hi,
I am looking for your opinion on this stock and ETF. The stock is listed as the 11th holding in the ETF for regional banks, KRE. It caught my attention as it seems to be breaking out of a long term base. Also is JNK a good ETF, and if not what alternatives would you suggest that pay a decent dividend. Would I be right is thinking JNK will be negatively affected if interest rates begin to drop? Deduct credits as you feel appropriate. Thanks - your advice and insight is always appreciated!

Q: Hi,
I want to add to BN and BAM. Would you be comfortable buying up to a full position right now, or would you do it incrementally. I am worried that If I wait, the price will just go up as interest may start to come down.

Q: Greetings:
It has been considerable time since a question has been asked about Timbercreek Financial, formerly Timbercreek Mortgage Investment Corporation. Interest rate now almost 10%-- Was higher in Oct, 23 when price fell badly. I have owned it for years. Apparently they are finishing settling a big bad loan- I have no idea how much they lost and would like to know. Could you please provide as much info about this MIC as possible. Would you buy more or sell? I believe it is back on the road to recovery, or would you buy something like Atrium. or sell both.
Thanks very much for your speedy replies. Wonderful.
Ben.

Q: A few days ago you were talking that you were replacing some of Sun Life with IFC. I acted on this, but so far I wish I had not have made the move. IFC has been selling some of their animal products to a UK firm from what I have read and I get the impression that does not sit well with investors. Is there anything you know about this situation that I am unaware of? Thank you.

Q: I bought them all last April and the draw down got as low as 15%--they have all made a comeback now except BNS still down 8%----Do you think this resurgence is sustainable and a good time to add to my holdings?
Thanks
Peter

Q: Are you aware of any reason why GSY popped so much of late, especially in the last two days? Usually this kind of jump only occurs if there is a potential takeover bid (just guessing here). Thanks.

Q: Thanks for your explanation on BN and BAM ..... However I still don't see the thesis for buying BN ..... Mr Market is giving no credit to " cash in the bank " ..... Mr Market knows everything we do yet gives the capital gains to BAM.... For example BAM is up 3.57% today and BN is up 1.6% on an upmarket day .... And since inception BAM has consistently been the one rewarded .... Mr Market is giving the nod for both income and growth currently to BAM...... Why shouldn't I have my cake and eat it too ?

Q: There has been lately a significant advertising pressure regarding alternative investments . What is your opinion on these? Which Canadian companies could be considered as being sort of companies with an alternative investments focus which would fulfill such type of investment for a small independent retail Canadian investors? Would you also recommend some US names with a similar focus. Thank you.
Q: Any comments on the news from these companies with ENB announcing some asset sales and BNS investor day?
Thx

Q: Why does this company continue to struggle to maintain momentum? Today the Fed said no rate increases and potentially none for next year with the potential to reduce rates. Most stocks did well after this announcement, yet Trisura goes the opposite direction. How much more patience should we investors give Trisura?
Q: What is your general opinion at this stage? Buying back shares below NAV but a management transition, is there opportunity here?
