Q: Over the past week, Trisura has drop of ~5% in spite of having good earnings. There have been a couple of very recent corporate staff changes but otherwise, no news. Would you have thoughts on the loss of momentum? Does Brookfield (BAM.A) still retain an interest?
Thank you for your comments.

Q: Thanks for the update on GSY.
I like the valuation, growth rate, management stake and conservatism. My main concern is whether they are chasing loan book growth during a period where Canadian personal balance sheets continue to deteriorate. In an unfortunate scenario of net charge-offs rising through their B/E charge-off rate of 24.6%, how quickly could their funding dry up? Does this name have a large short base from the short Canadian Financials camp out of the U.S.?
Do you know the breakdown between secured and unsecured loans within easyfinancial’s $1.03 billion loan portfolio? For the secured portion, what type of collateral do they typically receive?
Thank you very much!

Q: I have held a 1000 shares of this company since around 2010 and have a nice gain. However it hasn't done much recently so was thinking to sell when it suddenly jumped nearly 8% on the announcement of a reorganization. Would you comment on the reorganization and its likely results.
Thanks
Ross

Q: I have a roughly equal weighting in BNS, LB, RY, TD and POW with no single stock much over 3% of my portfolio. With POW getting swept up in some euphoria over anticipated future improvement in its management, would it be wise to exit now on the wave and reinvest the proceeds in one or two of the financial stocks that I already hold?
Q: On Dec 13 Credit Sussie downgraded BNS to Neutral (from Outperform),$75 TP, Av TP$78.92 It dropped $0.89 to $73.82 on above av. vol of 5.2m shares.Note that there was a purchase of 2m shares @ the close.Apparently there was above average vol. for the other big 4 banks. Your comment please. Txs for u usual great services & views

Q: Hi, I have had fsz for approximately 3 years, b.e is 13.74 and have been thinking if it has dropped about $4 in this market , what will happen in a down market?
My other option was NA bank which has been a lost opportunity. Should i sell fsz (7%) and buy na, or sell half and buy half na. Or just stay the course?
I think fsz is ok, for dividend but getting a little worried with where it’s at after such a great market the last 3 years. I do like to keep a stock 3+ years to give it a chance to work. With a good market and good management I find it usually works out. In a poor or flat market of course all bets are off. also I do have TD in my financial sector which has done well.
Thanks

Q: Between SLF, MFC and GWO, which one of these three has the best potential to provide the best combined return (growth plus yield) in a five year time span?
Past 10 year history has SLF way ahead of the other two at practically all annual intervals, but can this past history trend be continued? Thanks for your insight.

Q: Given the weakness in the west and with oil Is there a risk to the dividend for CWB and/or future growth
Q: Can you please provide your comments on Genworth MI Canada.
They have declared and paid special dividends on three separate occasions in 2019. Are payments of special dividends something we can look forward to going forward?

Q: Curious about your thoughts on MKP:CA as an income stock, it boasts a decent yield, but trading at a 52-week high right now. Been paying a decent dividend for along time now, but only has a "Sell" rating by one analyst and concerns over sustainability.
Q: Can you please provide an analysis of CWB and their latest earnings report and dividend history also.
