Q: With CBL now trading well below book value, do you consider the company at risk of insolvency? Its covenant breaches have previously been waived but it is not clear if this will continue. On the other hand, their non-related party debt (non-Catalyst) seems manageable given their gross loans receivable.

I would appreciate it if you could give me your opinion on Chesswood Group Ltd. Could you please comment on :
it's overall financial stability and growth prospects,
level of debts,
payout ratio,
robustness and sustainability of it's dividend,
rate of dividend growth,
level of insider ownership,
and how likely it is to do in a major market downturn.
How would you compare it to other companies in the same line of business and what would these be?
Would you recommend Chesswood for an income portfolio for a retiree and how large a position would you think prudent?
I see some insider sales recently in the $12.40 range and a lot of share buybacks in the $10.60 to $10.96 range. Does this mean the company thinks the shares are overvalued at present?
Thank you............. Paul K.

Q: VersaBank continues to put up great results but can’t seem to break out of the 7 dollar range. What do you think it is going to take for investors to start taking notice? They gave positive comments about continued strength through Q4. Do you still like it in this range? Thanks
Q: We could not find any information on the reason for the drop in BMA. The peso, which does not appear significant and the legal case may be the factors. Any enlightenment from you would be appreciated.

Q: Hi group - BNS taking a hit due to lass than stellar results (compared to other Cad banks) in the 2 nd quarter. I also own TD (trading near its high) my question is should I cash in 1/2 (500 shares) of TD and purchase more BNS to try and take advantage of the lower stock price (I am thinking that BNS has a lot more upside potential in the coming mths and years. Also I own the US banks and am becoming frustrated with their performance - what going on? they should be trading higher due to the strong economy?...Thanks for your guidance on this
Q: Hi there,
I have owned this one for awhile and it is finally starting to recover from its dividend cut earlier this year. A couple of questions, is this worth continuing to hold given the improvements and is the dividend safe?

Q: I currently own Visa and have done well. I like all of the payment processors. Should I stick with Visa, or take some profits and diversify into another processor? I am considering Mastercard, Square or Paypal.
Q: Why would you buy a short term bond etf over laddering 1-5 year GIC. or for that matter just keep buying 1 year GIC.
I looked at BMO ultra short 5 year return 1.32.
I get it that it is liquid, but GIC has no risk.
Am I missing something?
