Q: I have been looking at these two ETFs. The top 10 holdings in VDY look like buy and hold companies. It seems a bit heavy on banks so really wondering about your short-term outlook on CDN banks for the rest of the year?

HGRO has had a good run in 2020 and certainly not expecting as spectacular in 2021, but do you think it will continue to do reasonably well (your thoughts would be greatly appreciated please? I realize you do not have a crystal ball).

Do you think the combo of these two would be a good idea say 50:50? The idea would be for growth as remainder of portfolio is with you balanced ETF model portfolio.

Thanks so much.

Q: For growth and potential dividend increases, would you please rank the six Canadian banks (the ‘big 5’ plus National) in order of preference to buy now?
Thanks!

Q: I have a 5% position in Visa and 2% position in Lightspeed. I am considering adding a position in PayPal or Square to my TFSA.Which would you prefer today? Or should I diversify into something like Shopify?
Could you rate the above stocks in terms of risk and also include Crowdstrike?I have a long time horizon.

Q: I see IFC has issued a subordinated Note which acts like a rate-reset preferred. It has an 80 year maturity with resets every 5 years based on the 5 year GOC. Is there a movement away from preferred shares as a source of capital or is this just another alternative? Put another way, should I as an investor include these notes in my toolbox for future capital allocations?

Q: Credit Suisse got beat up real bad with the current events/news. Would you say it's a buy at its current level? long term hold. (If not of interest, what bank in the USA would you recommend the most and how does it compare to lets say a TD or BNS which i already own). Thank you

Q: I am retired and invest in primarily blue chip, dividend paying stock. In my regular investment account I hold the following Canadian bank stocks, RY,BNS,TD.
In my RRSP I hold all my US stock which includes JPM and C. I am considering selling my Citibank stock and using the proceeds to buy more JPM.
I am thinking JPM has better upside and is generally a better run company. Any thoughts?
