Q: Hello: I want to add an insurer stock in Canada and the USA. I admire and follow FAST Graphs. The following companies were recently reviewed: Aflac (AFL), MetLife (MET), Principal Financial Group (PFG), Prudential Financial (PRU), Great-West Life (GWO) iA Financial (IAG), ManuLife Financial (MFC), Power Corporation of Canada (POW), Sun Life Financial (SLF).

I would like your recommendations for the best choice in each country: Objective: solid, safe, long-term hold with capital appreciation potential and good consistent dividend income and dividend growth. Thank you.

Q: I read recently that there has been a change in senior management at Fiera, with Mr Desjardins the former CEO moving to Executive Chairman. I believe that he is 77 years old, the controlling shareholder and founder of the company. I had thought that he would be selling the company due to his age. but now I am wondering whether it has become a value trap. What do you think?

Q: Stan Wong on Market Call had EQRR as a top pick. I've been looking for an ETF like this. It looks like the MER is .35%. What do you think of this or do you have a different one that you could recommend for outperformance with rising interest rates? Thanks!

Q: Hi 5i
I currently hold no digital currency assets in my portfolio - from what I understand GLXY holds both bitcoin and etherium coins and provides financing to businesses in the digital currency space. Founder and small % shareholder speaks about growth in the sector and the bitocoin currency has bottomed. Your thoughts on buying todays' assets and the potential future for this business. Share price has been creamed ~ 40% and I am wondering if this is a starting point to start build a position and use GLXY as a diversified way to play the currency and growth in the industry via the merchant banking side of the business. Your wisdom (if there is such things when you roll the dice here) please ........ Thanks

Q: EHTH was a darling at one time within a loved sector. Others, for example GOCO and SLQT along with EHTH have been crushed. Head scratching when you look at Total Addressable Market(assuming monetization opportunity), Aging Demographics, Insider Buying, buy action by Starboard Hedge Fund etc... Yet these sectors are runaway elevators to the basement. When does the action make sense. Is this a long term play with future catalysts?

Q: I have quite a lot of financials, mostly Canadian banks and insurers with about 20% US. Would like to sell down some and buy something with some more growth in the payment section but still relatively conservative.
Would you recommend one of MA, V, Pypl or other financial as currently looks like a buying opportunity?
Thank you.

Q: Hi 5i Team - I am considering increasing my holdings in financials. Could you provide a couple of ideas in each of small cap, mid cap, and large cap companies, concentrating on Canadian companies but any U.S. suggestions are welcomed too. Thanks.

Q: I have been advised by BMO that this company is planning to have a Dutch Auction in the near future. The company is giving me 12 different options for selling some of my shares, with the last option(#99) being to do nothing. Can you advise why the company might be going this route to purchase back shares. Are there advantages for the company to go this route. And for the investor, why should he sell some of his shares this way. If there is some advantage to the investor, how do you decide which option to pick. Right now my preferred option is to do nothing, but would appreciate your advice on this matter. Many tnx for the great service.
