Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: TD and BMO recently issued preferred shares. TD 5 Year Rate Reset Series 28 yielding 7.232%, reset 4.2%. BMO 5 Year Rate Reset Series 50 yielding 7.376%, reset 4.25.
Both press releases both include the line "will issue to certain institutional investors"
Can retail investors purchase these? The rate and reset seem fantastic based on the quality of the issuers.

Q: I have held S&P Global for about a year and of course like the recent market this stock is lagging. I would like to hold on but I understand the recent earnings were not stellar. Your comments on the recent quarter as well as your overall thoughts on this holding would be much appreciated. I would like to hold for the long term. Thank You.

Q: As a follow-up to Blake's question of today, you note that FSZ "remains a higher risk income stock". What risk are you referring to - that the dividend (which has been very high for many years) will be cut or that the stock will drop significantly or both? I know that dividends are not guaranteed, but given the backers behind this company, I wonder what is new here for you to include this caveat?

Appreciate your insight.
