Q: I am a young retiree and am not allergic to volatility. I own each of the above REITS in my RRSP or TSFA for tax purposes. They represent collectively 7% of my total portfolios including my taxable account. My taxable account holds a mix of growth and dividend paying companies. It's a rather large holding. I don't own bonds because I don't understand the first thing about bonds but currently own 23% in money market or Guarantied Cash Deposits. I would like to add to my revenue generating part and would like to tone the risk down a bit. Where would you go from here?

Thank you very much for your support.

Q: Hi There,
I am interested in purchasing an active fixed income ETF.
Can you help list what you believe are top tier fixed income sub-advisors/managers/companies in Canada that I should consider.
[eg Marrett, PHN, Leith Wheeler, Fiera etc?]
Could you also list some active fixed income ETF's that one might want to consider adding that you believe are worth the MER.
thanks

Q: Hi team,

My foreign exposure is held in VTI 14% of my portfolio, VEU 9% ( these two are my largest holdings) and SPOT 3.75%. Everything else is held in canadian stocks and etf's.

Since VEU also holds some canadian would you still hold this or look for one that doesn't have any cnd holdinds?

Second, is there one etf that does the same job has VIT and VEU combined?

Tks,
Rino

Q: Hi

I have about $45000 invested in TD bank, AQN, Northland Power, BEP.UN, SIS, TOS3,and IPL. I have another $45000 I want to invest in long term (5 to 20 years), safe investments that I don't have to worry about, as I don't like checking my stocks everyday. I like dividend growth companies. I want to Invest in TDB972 but with my account set up with CIBC Investors Edge, I can only invest in other TDB mutual funds. Looking into changing this. I was also thinking of putting more money into AQN, SIS, and buying some BNS stocks. Do you think in the long term that these are good choices? Also, what do you think of TDB972? Should I try and change my account parameters to invest in this, or are there other better options with TDB mutual funds? I am open to hear about other good mutual funds to invest in that you think are good, sound, long term investments. Thanks

Q: I would like some recommendations on some companies or ETF's that you like now and going forward. I'm looking for growth as I have a 20year+ time frame and low aversion to risk. I currently hold in my TFSA: CJR.B (down about 5%, should I hold or sell some/all off? -heaviest weighting of portfolio currently), GS, BNS, CPH, CR, KXS, NIF, SIS. Would like to add more companies to TFSA for some more sector diversification and can add to RRSP as well - possibly a growth ETF with US/International exposure? Would appreciate your input, thanks very much.

Q: I already have XBB, TIPS, HFR , would TLT be that much different from XBB other than having the currency exposure. Was thinking of buying TLT for more protection against poor markets or if interests rates stop going up. Could I just add to my XBB position to achieve same results.

Q: Is there a way to buy 30-year US Strip Coupons? They seem like a prudent play on lower interest rates. Any risks? Thank you.
