Q: Hi group big loss today on HMMJ is the etf being effected by short trading how is this being done what is the chat rooms that i can log onto and watch what is going on thanks
Q: Would appreciate it if you could tell me if this would be a good product to invest in. Can’t seem to find much information on it.
Q: Hi Peter,
I have a portfolio of CND stocks, AT, EGLX,ERO,WELL,KRR.XBC, and a portfolio of US listed stocks, DCBO,CRWD,FUBO,MITK,LSPD,PINS,KL. I am comfortable with my holdings and dont plan to sell in the short term. Based on the context of my portfolio, should I decide to hedge my portfolio by buying HUV:CA, as rule of thumb, what % of my portfolio would you think would be adequate to hedge without having to highly dilute my overall returns. I hope I am making sense with the question I am asking.
Your assistance is much appreciated.

Vanguard Communication Services ETF (VOX $187.97)
-
State Street Communication Services Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLC $115.36)
Q: Portfolio Analytics indicates that I need to increase my Telecom exposure as well as my USA investments. What do you think about the ETF VOX, or do you have any better suggestions (preferably an ETF)? Thanks as always.
Q: Is there an etf that tracks EV Metals index or the metals used in EV vehicles?

-
Mawer Global Small Cap Fund Series A (MAW150 $16.59)
Q: To get some exposure to small caps, I invested in MAW150 late last year; I wonder if XSU has done better in the same time frame. If so, any idea why? And if so, would you switch to XSU? I intend to hold for what I see as the medium term, 2-3 years. Thanks!

BMO Aggregate Bond Index ETF (ZAG $14.01)
-
BMO Short Provincial Bond Index ETF (ZPS $12.51)
-
iShares 1-5 Year Laddered Government Bond Index ETF (CLF $17.72)
Q: These ETFs make up my main bond holdings in an RSP. All have done OK, but are starting to slip a little bit. I also hold XTR, which has a high bond component, and noticed that they recently reduced the distribution. In an increasing rate environment, how would you rank these 3 bond ETFs in terms of (1) maintaining share price; and, (2) maintaining distributions?
Thank-you
Thank-you

iShares Core U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF (AGG $101.10)
-
iShares Core Income Balanced ETF Portfolio (XINC $21.58)
Q: I'm looking to reduce risk and start preserving capital in my all equity balanced portfolio. I have raised about 10% cash and am looking into fixed income etf's to achieve my goal. Would you suggest something like XBB/AGG/XINC or fine tune with a few different US/CAD fixed income etf's? Or is there a better option than bonds?
Thank you.
Derek

iShares MSCI Intl Quality Factor ETF (IQLT $49.06)
Q: Hello 5i,
I am looking for a Canadian dollar etf alternative to the above international quality factor etf. IQLT has 1% USA assets. Could you suggest two CAD etf alternatives: one with some USA assets and one without? I suspect the mer will be higher, but that’s ok.
Many thanks,

Q: For those who hold ZRE and/or ZUT:
After multiple attempts via phone and RBC's internal secure email system, I finally spoke to a RBC Direct Investing representative today regarding ZRE and the Dec 29/20 RBC announcement of their 1.048:1 stock split. The rep was excellent, but had to check higher up the food chain to get an answer. Within minutes she got back to me with the answer.
The share split announcement for ZRE was simply a mistake on their part. There is no share split. Ditto for anyone holding ZUT (I don't).
It was as I suspected, but I couldn't let it go until I had it confirmed to me by RBC. End of story.

Q: Please suggest 4 Global infrastructure ETFS , 2 Canadian and 2 American with your preference.
Q: My understanding (misunderstanding?) is that MLPs are subject to very high withholding taxes when held by Canadians. From some comments on MLPs I've seen in the past, I had the impresssion that its not always possible to determine the cost of the fees.
1. Does the fact that AMZA is an ETF of MLPs (rather than an MLP itself) change any of this?
2. Is the withholding a fixed percent of the distribution or does it vary based on the make up of the distribution?
3. Is there an account type that would be better or worse to hold this ETF?
Thanks,

Q: What do you think of the sector as of late? Do you think it would be reasonable to step in at this point? If yes, what maximal portfolio allocation would you espouse for the etf?
Thank you
