Q: If I want to invest in coffee and cocoa (preferably stocks that don't just use the product like Starbucks or Hershey), what stocks or ETFs would you recommend that would give me good exposure to profiting from a possible rise in coffee and cocoa prices? Thanks.

Q: Hello,

I need to increase the fixed income component of my portfolio. XBB and CBO make up 12% of my portfolio. Please suggest a few more CDN fixed income ETF's I could invest in. I am retired so a more conservative approach is what I am looking for.

Thanks for all your help.

Q: Follow-up on question asked by Yuves regarding HDIV and it’s MER. My brokerage shows it at 2.67% which includes the management fees of the underlying ETFs, leverage costs and other expenses. I would expect this to come down somewhat due to the internalization of some of the ETF holdings. While the MER is high it doesn’t seem to be out of line with other similar leveraged covered call ETFs.

Q: I am a senior holding CDZ, ZLB & ZSP plus around 20 individual stocks. I am hoping to streamline my portfolio to 3 ETFs plus a few favourite stocks. I'm ok with CDZ and ZSP, but I wonder if I should switch to ZCN for much of my Canadian portion rather than ZLB. Have you a suggestion as to which would be more appropriate in my late retirement portfolio? I'm not looking for international investment nor for fixed income. Many thanks.

Q: Dear 5i
Is now a good time to invest in the emerging markets ? I'm considering ZEM , VEE , and XEC .Which would you recommend for an RRSP account? Do you really think there is a major shift to small cap stocks currently and if so do you see it continuing for awhile ?
Thanks

Q: i would like to increase my US equity exposure which largely consists of VUN and VIG currently. I don't have a specific small cap holding but feel the lagging performance might indicate it is a good time to buy TQSM. Would you advocate buying now or waiting until October?
Thanks.

Q: What do you think of Blackrock’s new Long-Term US Equity ETF (BELT)? It is actively managed so a higher fee but maybe a nice way to diversify the growth portion of one’s portfolio? Or would you recommend sticking with VOO and QQQ? I notice you have also recommended VUG lately. Thanks!

Q: My Son hopes to buy a condo in the next 6 months and has sold most of his stocks and now holds mainly cash. PSA, CASH, CBIL and UBIL.U all currently yield in the 5% range. I am thinking he is best to put most the funds in CBIL and UBIL.U, since these may benefit a bit if interest rates fall, whereas the yield in PSA and CASH would decrease. Or is he best to put funds in PSA or CASH and sacrifice a possible decrease in yield, for a safer investment in HISA ETFs. Thank you for your comments!!

In my current mish-mash of holdings; I presently own: BCE, T, ENB, AP.un,H&R-un,BN, CSU, TOI, LMN, EDV, K, VET, WSP, LSPD, Anergia, Copperleaf, Softchoice, ATD, and WSP, etc.

Thanks very much,
