Q: Is it worthwhile to own both Etherum and Bitcoin? Are they really different or one of them is enough to be exposed to the crypto sector? Etherum seems to fare a bit better. Thanks again.
Q: Hi, TRP and ENB had a bad day with both stocks declining 2.5%, by close. There was no specific news for either company. Oil was weak today and price dropped about $2.50-$3, during course of the day.
My understanding is that movement in oil prices has no direct impact on these stocks, in a meaningful way. XEG, on the other hand was down just less than 1%. Was TRP/ENB drop unusual ? Thanks

Q: Hi, I own some HYLD and see that it has dropped more than 10% over the last 2 weeks. It now yields over 13% based on the last payout. Do you think the payout is safe given it's holdings? Also, Would this be a good time to average down? Thanks.

Thanks
Thanks
Q: Hello, would you be buying VFV or VSP for a long term hold for a passive investor? Does it really matter? Would you own one right now and rotate to the other in the future ? Thanks.
Q: Do you like this for income? And how is the income taxed? Is it interest or capital gains? Would it be ok in a non-registered?
Q: Hi
I refer to the question from Ian concerning XYLD.
In our RRSP accounts EQL represents 17% of our holdings.
As retirement is fast approaching I am thinking of splitting our EQL holdings with XYLD, for the dividend.
Would this make sense?
Thank you for your time
Mike

Q: Hi team!
I am considering a hybrid portfolio of either (A) 80% ETFs and 20% individual stocks or (B) 80% in an All-in-one ETF (VEQT/VGRO) and 20% individual stocks. I understand there may be foreign withholding tax considerations on the Vanguard All-in-one ETFs depending on the account type in which it's held and I'm wondering how significant this actually is.
Questions:
- Which accounts out of RRSP/LIRA, TFSA, RESP, and Non-Registered would US listed ETFs be a better alternative due to this foreign withholding tax drag?
- At what account value would the tax drag from these withholding taxes be material enough to warrant buying individual ETFs (ex. VT, VTI, XUU, XEF) instead of using an all in one fund (VGRO or VEQT)?
Trying to avoid losing 15% or more of any US/foreign dividends due to unrecoverable foreign taxes if possible!
Thanks for your great work!

Q: Your opinion on this investment for income risk and future growth would be appreciated. Thx James
Q: If, as I believe the market is going to experience another large downturn, would TLT, ZROZ, or in Canada ZTL be a good investment in US Treasury long bonds, due to a possible flight to safety?
Q: With interest rates heading higher for longer, countries/ corporations with high debt levels will suffer pains not seen in a very long time. Should investors begin to switch to fixed income products (bonds, prefs) as rates rise? Will traditional income stocks get knocked about too?
Q: It often seems difficult to find the holdings of covered call etf's and whether their returns include return of capital. Do you have a solution and your opinion of xyld for long term hold. Thanks for you expertise.
- iShares Convertible Bond Index ETF (CVD)
- CI Canadian Convertible Bond ETF (CXF)
- iShares Convertible Bond ETF (ICVT)
Q: Do you have a proxy for CVD? It can be stock or ETF. The reason I ask is it is thinly traded and my purchase exceeds the average daily volume. I’d rather not pick away at small lots to reach my position, or is that what I should actually do?
Thx.
Thx.
Q: I buying this one in stead of the buying individual bank stocks given our uncertain environment. Any reason why this covered called ETF might not be good for a full weighting at this time?

Q: My question is regarding selling my XHC and purchasing XLV in my RSP. I have 414 shares of XHC and understand the cost of currency change .I have initiated a position in XLV by selling VIG when it moves beyond 10% of our portfolio and started wondering whether I should consolidate to XLV. Our other healthcare stock is WELL. I would appreciate your comments. Thank you.
