Q: I am considering adding this stock to my portfolio in a size that would be about 3% of the total. I have not held and real estate for a while and this would be a first step back into that segment. Your views on Granite please and what are 3 other real estate alternatives and how do you rank them vs Granite. Take as many question credits as appropriate.

Tamarack Valley Energy Ltd. (TVE $7.36)

Yangarra Resources Ltd. (YGR $1.04)

Saturn Oil & Gas Inc. (SOIL $2.47)
Q: Which one of these do you prefer and with what rationale? Does it makes sense to own both at low weighting.
Q: I see Parkland's share price since 2003 was rising steadily and quite well until February 2020 when Covid hit but after the initial Covid crash and rebound has been slowly drifting lower, now down about 35% from it's $48 high to the present $31 range and will have to rise over 50% to regain it's all time high. Why is is drifting lower now...what happened?.
It will take 12 years' worth of dividends to get back to the previous high unless the company can grow and prosper and profits rise considerably. I have studied your recent report [thank you] on the company and it looks good and the B+ rating in encouraging but you don't really identify much strong growth as such. Selling the refinery could be a negative as it seems to be steadily profitable.
Comparing the 20 year price and dividend growth histories of companies like FTS, EMA, RY, and T for example it is hard to see PKI as being a superior investment.
So does the current price and anticipated growth merit investing in PKI at this time for a 10 year hold? Do you have that much confidence in management?
Thank you......... Paul W. K.

Q: Hi Peter and Staff
I currently do own small amounts of each of the companies above except for EQB.
Do you feel strong enough about EQB to replace any of the other 3 companies if taxes or trading fees are not an issue or just advise to ride it out
Thanks for all you do
Dennis

Q: I own a basket of energy stocks but among them TVE is the worst performer. Yet it is frequently recommended. Would you give me the rationale for the positive views on this company. Thank you.
Q: TFII report Tuesday. What is general consensus/expected? What does 5i expect? what d you see over the next couple of years. what are the downside risks.
Q: Is SHOP expected to continue doing well in the near term?
Q: Will LSPD become profitable in less than 3 years?

BRP Inc. Subordinate Voting Shares (DOO $86.91)
-
Magna International Inc. (MG $66.85)
Q: Hi 5i,
Pretty sure I know your answer based on past questions, but I have so many questions to use from being a long time satified member.
Would you swap MG for DOO? Please provide some comparison metrics for the next 3 to 5 years to justify switch.
Again, using same question above, compare a BNS to TD switch.
Thanks again for your valuable insights over the past several years!

Q: Hi - a lot of chatter recently about freight rates in decline. Can you give your thoughts on this vis a vis TFII stock price over the next year or so? Thx as always.
Q: Goeasy is a disaster post this government decision. At what price level do you consider a very attractive entry point?
Q: With the recent mini-banking crisis and banks restricting their lending; could this not be seen as a growth opportunity for loan generation for GSY? Even if they can't lend at the same higher rates as before they can still obtain higher loan volume growth - or at least that is my thesis.
Conversely, as consumer spending on discretionary items (eg. furniture, electronics) may be decreasing - could this be a head wind for loans related to their EasyHome segment?
If both of these trends are at play - which do you think will play a larger role on the stock if any? Even with the large drop in the share price, it can't be far off from a PEG close to 1 so it seems attractive as well.
Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter/Ryan, I have 65 shares of KXS in my TFSA with a gain of 5200.00 and it's a 12% holding in the account at present. How does one decide if they should take the 5200.00 dollar gain which would mean selling about 30 shares or let it keep going as it seems to want to go higher. Thanks, Nick
Q: Well has been doing "well" last couple days with strong volume. Any particular news driving this and is now too late to buy?
Thanks John
Thanks John
Q: I am following the above through Investor Suite which was a pick a while back. Morpheus appears to be the purchaser.
Is 5i is going to follow, or should this be just dropped.
Just wondering and thanks for your reply
Rick

Q: I'm thinking of taking some positions in base metals companies. I'm especially interested in copper plays as it seems to be needed to support the drive to electrification. Do you think this is and opportune time to initate positions? In any case, I would appreciate it if you would share some of your favorite companies in this sector and it would help if you would present them in order of most upside to least going forward. I'm open to metals. other than copper as well.
