Q: Hello- it appears that shop has now pulled back to pre-pandemic levels. Do I have that right? Can you compare then and now in terms of rations, PE, PtoS and growth expectations.
Q: What would be a great entry price for Shop? Many thanks
Q: TK on July 26 (I saw this on the 25th) questioned you about SHOP saying he didn't want to throw good money after bad. You advised you added it to your portfolio indicating it was a buy. I seen this prior to buying it on the 25th at $47.9 and on the 26th in the morning it was down under $40. I assume you follow this stock quite closely as it seems one of the more popular stocks you deal with, Was this so well hidden by the company that even Sherlock Holmes would not uncover the issues they were having? Thank you,

Q: Shopify or Lightspeed for an aggressive growth holding for 5 years?
- Suncor Energy Inc. (SU)
- Enbridge Inc. (ENB)
- Tourmaline Oil Corp. (TOU)
- Whitecap Resources Inc. (WCP)
- Athabasca Oil Corporation (ATH)
- Tamarack Valley Energy Ltd. (TVE)
Q: Thanks to your wonderful Portfolio Tracking and Analysis, I know that Energy makes up 11.07 % of my portfolio. Your statistical recommendation is that energy should be 5 % of my personalized portfolio. In order of rate of return, I have Tourmaline Oil, Enbridge, Whitecap, Suncor, Athabasca and Tamarack Valley. I am more heavily weighted in Tourmaline and Enbridge but my question is twofold. Am I really overweight in energy at this time and if so other than trimming from my two big winners, which two or three companies would you eliminate to pare back closer to 5%? The proceeds would go to buying ATD.b and Loblaws. Thanks for this wonderful service.
Q: I am overweight in these 3 companies. I need to raise some capital by selling some of the shares from one of these 3 holdings. What would be your recommendation? It will not significantly affect my diversification.
Q: shop reduces staff 10%, stock down heavy. ceo admits he got it wrong. 5i has called shop a top growth stock in this market. repeatedly. what is your opinion now. is it a top growth pick from its new price. investible? or sell
Q: Shopify down 12% on announcement of 10% layoff in global workforce

Q: So I had SHOP at a full 5% position in my portfolio and now with all the carnage it's less than 2%. So my question would be - does it make sense to average down from the ridiculously high price I paid to bring the position up a bit or just let it grow back (if ever)? Am I just throwing good money after bad in trying to make up the loss? I do like SHOP and intend to hold it for many years. Thanks!
Q: Your thought on SJ for a longer term investor looking to find value with growth (oxymoron). Valuation seems to be on the attractive side and looks cheap once things start to turn around. Is it relative to peers? it has come down a lot since your report. Is the major concern simply a recession?
Q: Hi Peter
In BNN Market call yesterday, Brian Madden thrashed TCL as an income trap with no future. I see that 5i still carries TCL in your income portfolio.
Is Brian's doomsday prediction of TCL correct ? Can I request you to share your thoughts please?
Thanks

Q: What do you think about SHOP partnering with YouTube and TikTok? It seems the sky is the limit for e-commerce TAM. With AMZ antitrust scrutiny SHOP long term looks VERY appealing…
Q: I own each of these companies in my RSP and have done very well on all three over the past year. A couple of months ago, I trimmed my positions in CNQ and SU as they had more than doubled. With the recent sector pull back, I'm now considering selling some Parex and redirecting the proceeds to Suncor.
It seems Suncor currently has a number of positive catalysts which may result in it outperforming Parex over the next couple of years. Both companies have a similar beta and yield, with SU having much more diversified operations.
Exclusive of position weightings, your thoughts on this strategy please.
Thanks, Rick
