Q: Hi 5i team,
XTC (Exco Tech), at the 8.90ish level, would you consider this a buy? I have no auto exposure right now and wanted to increase my overall industrial exposure.
Thanks.

Q: Trading/ Strategy Question: With the sizeable pullbacks today for CSU, AVO, ESL, HNL and BAD, would you see this as an opportunity to increase my position in any of these stocks, all of which are already owned - some at higher prices, others at lower prices. All are owned becuase of long term potential and are expected to be long term holds.
Q: Peter - ESL has been hammered lately, over 5% today. Any explanations on the background of the decline? Is this a good time to get in? I am looking at 3% to 5% position.
Thank You!
Thank You!
Q: When the market is hit by a pullback of momentum stocks, is it better to buy AVO or ENG, which was hit especially hard, or one of the ones that way only minimally affected?

Q: Hi,
Regarding BYD.DB, can you explain in some detail how this security will behave? Since it is trading well above its conversion price, my understanding is that its delta should be close to 100% of BYD.UN, but it will have 5.75% interest payments instead of the ~1.35% distribution? Does this not make it more attractive than holding BYD.UN? Can you also put into simple language the redemption features?
"On and after December 31, 2015 but prior to December 31, 2016, the Debentures may be redeemed by the Fund, in whole or in part from time to time, at the option of the Fund, at a price equal to the principal amount thereof plus accrued and unpaid interest up to but excluding the Redemption Date (as defined herein), on not more than 60 days' and not less than 30 days' prior written notice, provided that the volume weighted average trading price of the Units on the Toronto Stock Exchange (the “TSX”) for the 20 consecutive trading days ending on the fifth trading day immediately preceding the date on which notice of redemption is given is not less than 125% of the Conversion Price. On and after December 31, 2016 but prior to the Maturity Date, the Debentures may be redeemed by the Fund, in whole or in part from time to time at the option of the Fund, at a price equal to the principal amount thereof plus accrued and unpaid interest up to but excluding the Redemption Date, on not more than 60 days' and not less than 30 days' prior written notice. The Debentures may also be redeemed by the Fund in the event of the satisfaction of certain conditions after a Change of Control (as defined herein) has occurred. See “Description of Securities Being Distributed - Offer Upon Change of Control”.
Thank you.

Q: Hi Peter and team, Enghouse and Constellation are both down by more than 4% today. Is there any reason to worry? Thanks, Gervais
Q: Hi guys, ESL continues to slide -- really starting to scare me. Do you have any insight into what's going on there? Thanks for your great service!
Q: Re Cineplex (CGX): Based on Morningstar data, CGX has had an average 5 yr payout ratio of approx 114%. If this data is accurate, is the dividend payout being supported by free cash flow? Is this feasible in the long run?

Q: Hello Peter and Co.
In the Industrials/Transports sector of my RRIF portfolio, I only hold Chemtrade Logistics and CNR; I was thinking of adding either CCL or WPK (leaning towards the latter) and also CAE.
Your opinion is most valuable
Tony

Q: Would you generally agree with the gist of the following comment made by Genevieve Roch-Decter,Portfolio Manager LDIC Inc on BNN this week. If so, would most of the Cdn infrastructure/service/pipe cos highly benefit from this trend, specifically ALA, BAD, BDI,GEI, MCB, HNL, KEY, IPl, PPL? Thank-you. "We are in the early innings of an energy investment super cycle that will see nearly $1 trillion in spending by 2025 and over 1 million jobs created. These are numbers published by the American Petroleum Institute on a study they did in December. Last year there was about $90 billion spent in North America on energy infrastructure and we are only a few years into this super growth phase".
Q: Hi Peter. I hold LIQ in an RRSP,down over 20%.Up with PKI. Should I sell the profits from PKI and buy more LIQ. I like the income on LIQ, but wondering if I should sell and move on. I like to buy and hold , 3 to 5 Years. Thanks for you wonderful service.
Q: I am considering selling my BPF.UN shares and purchasing HSE,BP gives better dividends and it has bounced back and with summer and softball season it will do better, but when it dropped these last few months I got nervous, any recommendations.
Q: Mr. Hodson, anything new on Wilan (WIN)? Very frustating stock, on which I lost 42% ? Surprisingly, First Call Earnings Valuation Report has 1 hold, 0 buy and 6 strong buy. Thomson Reuters provides a consensus recommendation of 1.57 (which is a strong rating). I believe you advised a hold on the stock. Any future there ?
Q: Hi 5i! EQI or Equity Financial Holdings Inc. is off about 7% today so far...any comment(s) would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks...Dave
Q: Hello All!
Thank you again for the splendid service! My question is related to Patient Home Monitoring. This penny stock recently signed a letter of intent to purchase another company with 14 million in yearly revenue. This purchase is expected to be immediately accretive. Sill, the stock price continues to be weak. Can you please comment on this companies financials and it's prospects over the next two years.
Is this a good company to take a substantial position in? Are there any other micro caps in the healthcare industry that you feel would be a better risk?
Thanks again!

Q: My first question! I am thinking that with the publicity about the GM recall which appears to be leading to decreased sales, the recent spike is ACQ which followed the acq of GM dealerships may be reversed if these dealership will experience sales losses and increased repair demand. How do you take this into account in assessing ACQ?

Q: Hi Peter & team, I must be missing something regarding Chris' question and answer. Bep.un has been transferred from the equity portfolio to the income portfolio. So, as Chris wants his portfolio to be income orientated, why should he sell it? Disclosure; I hold the stock for income already. Thanks. Henry
