Q: AYA has been dropping day after day up to their disappointing earnings. In fact, it's been down 1.5% to over 2% almost every day for the past ten days. Now we get a huge drop on earnings. Since you didn't know anything, this tells me their earnings disappointment wasn't known on the street. That in turn suggests a lot of insider trading by those who were given this information. Personally, I want nothing to do with such companies, and I'm wondering if you're reconsidering its inclusion in your portfolio.

Q: Hi folks, could we please get a more detailed answer to Q results for Amaya besides "little disappointing" and your future thoughts on company. Q was huge miss imo and to see stock go from $9+ just couple weeks ago to $6.11 today is very concerning, especially when we had two days recently when stock had big 10+ dip in stock price, albeit to recover but stock has been in steady decline lately. Stock has been analyst darling but to me, is now a "show me" stock and likely to languish from here. Sorry longwinded but am I reading to much into results and recent trading, almost seemed like somebody knew Q results were going to be bad and bailed while "the going was good". Thanks as always jb

Q: Badger Daylighting is on fire the past week or so... basically since their last earnings report. I'm basically at 6% portfolio weighting and am getting closer and closer to having the diversificaiton and similar picks to the model portfolio. Any thoughts on trimming a little here? I'd actually like to let it run as I believe in the need for BAD's product and can see them being used more and more in Industry and even around my home town here in Calgary which tells me they are growing really well. I also see the long term need for their product as much infrustructure needs to be renewed without destroying it.

Your thoughts would be appreciated! Keep up the good work!

Q: I already have AVO and doing very good as well as a small position in CMI and looking to buy another Technology co. but cannot decide between ESL & SYZ. Both look very good. What would you suggest and why. Good appreciation with less risk would be best right now. ESL has taken a substantial downturn and SYZ on the financing so I am undecided on what to buy, or would you suggest another from your list.

Thanks, Doug

Thanks

Q: I am overweight with BNS in my rrsp account . I am prepared to sell
500 shares at $67.00 Is there any advantage in trying to do a covered call while i wait for the share to reach $67.00 and if so is there a risk I might have to
settle on a price below $67. I have never used an option in the past and want to know if it might be feasible in this instance .
Also I really liked the video did on the most popular 5 questions . It was very well done , relevant , clear , and brief . Hope more will follow ., When will the revised model portfolio be released . Thanks Rick

Q: AVO's current swoon began on the day their COO was released and an new COO was appointed. The technical chart shows the price today has rallied off support established on November 20th last year. The primary trend (up) is still well established and won't be broken unless prices reach $27 to 27.50. I'm underwater on the stock but won't be a seller unless both support and the trend is broken. If there is a question in here, I guess it is to ask if my thinking can be shared with you.

Q: Peter
Some great questions today. Badger has gone from a 2% initial position in my portfolio to a 10.5% position. I thought I had seen you write earlier that you might ride a winner up to 15 % of a portfolio is BAD that kind of a stock. Also I think you also recently mentioned that Badger could now be considered an Industrial does this increase the multiple applied to BAD or is there some other impact(s). Also could you provide the link to your twitter account. I lost it when I traded in my Blackberry. Thank you again for your excellent and timely advice.

Q: Hi Peter and Team
My 35 year old has transferred his $5300 in RRSp account out of mutual funds. I would like your advice on whether the following is a good strategy to get some growth into this account.
I am considering XIC for half the money and the rest divided among TCN, SGY,and SYZ or DHX. Would you think this wise? or do you think 2 ETF's one US and one Canadaian and if so which ones? Thank-you

Q: I am thinking of purchasing some more AVO. I would be "averaging down" as I am currently negative with AVO. I would be liquidating a 3% weighting in PWF and increasing my weighting in AVO to 4%. Of course PWF pays a dividend and AVO does not. Both stocks are down this year with AVO down about 8% and PWF down 5% which isn't suprising as AVO is more volatile. I have a relatively diversified portfolio except I am a overweight in financials...(BNS, TD & SLF)
Any cautions?
Thanks
Jim
