Q: Hello team, DHX is not reacting too well to today's news....they announced additional Teletubbies licensing deals. It has had a big run this year. Maybe it's just some people booking profits (?). What are your thoughts please.

Thank you!

Q: Stantec recently had a 2 for 1 stock split that is currently reflected on the stock market but 5i files are still showing the pre-split price. Does your system not update stock prices of stocks you provide a profile and rating(A)on when there are material changes in a stock?

Q: Hi Guys
In a related question to my last one would you suggest Callidus Capital or Currency Exchange as a buy with growth as a consideration at todays levels. I would like to enter either position slowly over the next few months, year. Also if you could answer why the choice or do I add both?
Thanks

Q: As you have been pointing out in your excellent answers to so many questions, the stocks of some fine Canadian companies in the non-energy and non-material spaces have been hammered in the current rout. I would like to take advantage of this opportunity to buy some fine companies at bargain prices. Generally I hold most of the companies in your model portfolio; I am over-weight Amaya and Constellation Software. Could you please identify 5 non-energy and material stocks which you consider to be bargains at this time? Thank you.

Q: Of all the A-B companies you cover, could you indicate one or two in each rating category (A, A-, B+, B) that you consider to be the best "bargains" at this point. By best bargain, I mean considering risk/reward profile, you look at the share price and say, "Wow, I can't believe that this stock is trading at that low price." (I'm guessing: (A: Stantec), (A-: BNS), (B+: GIL or BAD?), and (B: NAL or ACQ?) What say you? Others?

Also, if possible, of all companies at any rating level (A to B-) on your "watch list," could you indicate one or two similar bargain companies? Energy sector included.

Thank you,
Cheers

Q: Good Morning, CSE now yields 8.25%. Any risk to dividend cut? Do they have any material exposure to the energy sector? I have a small weighting and am thinking of adding more to my income portfolio.

Q: I'd like your opinion about acquiring 1/2 position in HNL for a shorter term hold (and longer if necessary). Is the high dividend sustainable with the way things are looking now? Do you think the stock price will get hit hard in the next week given tax loss selling?
Grateful, as always, for your comments.

Q: Any reason for the drop today. Is this drop related to the price of oil, Alberta etc. Is it a good buy at this level.

Q: Why would the company change it's name from Amaya gaming to Amaya Inc?
Do they not want people to know they are in the gaming industry? To me the name change does not reflect what the company does. Or maybe that is the point:after all with 80 million users maybe they will start selling advertising . That would be a huge revenue gain.Just curious in trying to figure out the logic.

Hello Peter
I am looking for safety of dividends and dividend growth, with some share price growth too, and can add about 1% to an existing position.
I am considering adding to one of :

Chartwell CSH.UN - I have a 0.1% starter position..... yield 4.6%.
Emera EMA - I have a 2.0% position........ yield 4.04%.
Enbridge ENB - I have a 2.4% position............yield about 3.07 after latest increase.
Enbridge Income Fund ENF - I have a 5% position............... yield 4.48%.

Which has the least liklihood of a dividend cut, and which would you pick, and why would you choose the one you do.
Thank You ....... Paul K

Q: I note that AHF have $7.1B in AUM while Gluskin Sheff have $8.1B (only $1B more) but GS trades at ~$28 while AHF is only ~$0.88. It seems to me that some wealth management firm could pick up an easy $7B in AUM for a cheap price buy buying AHF.
(1) Why the discrepancy ?
(2)Is there a metric such as AUM per share that applies to Wealth Management companies to determine their value?
