Q: Good Morning
Considering buy AVO if tax loss selling kicks in. What time frame would you suggest tax loss selling will have an effect? Not sure if you offer this advice - but any thoughts on where SP will settle during tax loss.

Q: Hi Peter and team, what are your thoughts on BDI? How much of an impact would drop in oil prices have on BDI and how would you interpret the recent decline of almost 15%.
Thanks,

Q: Could you tell me what percent of WSP's work is usually oilfield related? And more specifically, is there a chance that some of the projects they have planned for may be cancelled due to low oil prices?

Q: I'm considering purchasing more BAD on given the current weakness and am thinking it may even go down further with tax loss selling. What holding period should I be looking at (I saw you say to another question that six months is too short due to the volatility of the sector).
I purchased at a much higher price but don't want to end up throwing "good money" after "bad" --lol -- no pun intended

Q: I hold Crescent Point Energy, Inter Pipeline, and Parkland Fuel. With the volatility in oil prices the past few weeks all three are generally moving relative to movements in the oil price. This makes sense for CPG and IPL as they will be directly affected by lower oil prices and related volumes. However I'm not sure why PKI would be so closely tied to oil prices as they are a distributor and presumably lower fuel prices may actually cause an increase in consumption. Do you have any thoughts?

Q: Hello,
Can I please get your analysis on exco's Q4 results. Did they meet or exceed expectations and should I continue to hold or even buy more shares of Exco?

Q: Hello, I own BEP.UN as per your portfolio but noticed the other two Brookfield companies look good BIP and BAM. Did you choose BEP because you feel it the strongest of the three or because id the sector? Would you recommend owning all three and if you had to narrow it down to two which would you choose? I like BEP because of the dividend. BIP also has a good dividend but BAM has a much smaller one.

Q: Hi guys,

I have a decent gain on BEP.UN of approximately 15%. It is touching 52 week highs and I'm trying to raise a bit of cash given that the market has done very well since the correction. With interest rates rising in 2015 (possibly) and the realization that interest rate sensitive stocks would get hurt before rates actually rise, do you think its a good idea to sell BEP.UN and move up the ranks to Brookfield Asset Management on a pullback?

Thanks for your advice,
Jason

Q: I have held STN for several years now and it was always a nice steady performer. In the last 12 months it is almost flat but still over 12% off its highs. I have noticed that WSP has also gone very quite. Is there a sector rotation going on in this space? This is a stock that i have been overweight on, (7% position)and i am thinking of reducing to a 4 or 5% position. It has been a good year for small/medium cap stocks but STN is not participating. Any comments you have would be appreciated.

Q: Trimac price dropped today, Nov 24, with 32,000 shares traded. Could this be related to news of Mullen Group trucking purchase of Gardewine, as reported in today's Globe & Mail. Thank you for the great service you provide.

Q: In your report, it recommends to tender the Burger King offer. How would that work for capital gains. For example if 100 shares were bought at $50/share. You would receive $6550 in cash and 80.25 Burger King shares.
