Q: Good morning. With Boston Pizza yielding 7.2% is it time for a slice? I'd be very happy with a total annual return of 8 to 10% over the next five years. Thanks and have a great day!

Q: I bought half a position on the recent dip but it seems to have recovered. Would you buy another half now or wait for another dip? I suppose this is one of those technical analysis questions and its probably like asking what the result of a coin toss is in advance but I thought you might have better insight than me on picking an entry point. I tend to be terrible at it.

Q: I am considering taking a 4% in each of the following.bep.un, bpf.un, win, gh, eci. I am looking forincome and have check all that are now above 5 %¿
My question is a lot of answers indicate that an interest rate increase would hurt dividen paying stocks. Would interest rates not have to go up a lot to affect these stocks.

Q: BPF.UN is cover in your reports and given a rating of B+.

The stock is down 25% from it's highs and down 10% on the year. I am on the verge of being stopped out of it (bot at $19.25).

What is happening with BPF, do you still like the outlook and does it still warrant a B+?

Would you reccommend a hold or sell?

Q: I recently took a loss on CPH in my RRSP account. My avg. price was 14.5 and I sold at 9.4. I replaced it with TRX. What do you think? Was this the right move or should I held on to my CPH losses.

Q: Hello Peter & team, Seems BNS is the "winner" here. It could be affected by being exposed in L.Am. to miners PLUS being affected the MOST of all Canadian banks due to its exposure to oil/gas sector in Canada, with "cracks" starting to show in Q4 and early 2016 (as the article suggests). And who knows for how long low oil prices will persist....maybe it will stay low for ever due to supply that keeps growing. Would you pls. comment on this article.

Q: I would like to increase my exposure in a life insurance company. I currently own Sun Life (3%) in a well balanced portfolio which includes US exposure and I am wondering if I should buy more SLF or go south of the border and pick up some AIG. My thinking is that interest rates are set to rise in the US, which is usually good for lifecos while Canadian rates are still lagging.

I realize that some of the interest rate increase is already priced into AIG as it has done will for the past year. But is seems to me that as much as things are "priced in" there is still a reaction when the event itself finally occurs and there will be a lag to earnings until the higher rates actually hit the bottom line.

Do you feel AIG presents a better long term upside or should I stick with SLF?

Thanks for the insight.

Q: Could you please comment on the price decline and a very negative technical pattern(down, down). I hold this stock for income and some growth but some "unknown" seems to continue to push the stock down. What am I missing??
Thank You Ron
