Q: Hello 5i team,
I’m concerned on Amaya’s future after reading this article in La Presse+ on April 2nd.
According to the article Michael Shatilla a Westmount broker and Jacques Lemelin a day-trader are part of a group that wish to obtain authorisation for a collective law suit against Amaya and its directors. They have deposited in Quebec’s Superior Court in order to get compensation for investors who lost after trading between March 31st 2014 and March 22nd 2016. They claim that privilege information was shared in order to boost the price of AYA in order to buy Poker Stars. Other distinctive law suits are in the works in the United States as AYA not only trades on the TSX but also the Nasdaq.
The fact that David Baazov has stepped down was appreciated by the markets. How much damage can this law suit do to AYA and is this going to keep the price down making it easier for the company to go private or is it too early to comment?

Q: Hello Team
Just wondering when we will see the blog on AYA?
Peter.

Q: Some pundits seems to push BNS and TD as the 2 best banks. But, when I checked this morning, I found BNS had dropped much more than the others. BNS-1.14, BMO-.17, CM-.09, RY-.28, TD-.10.
I just do not understand the enthusiasm for BNS when so many of its branches are in very unstable countries; Mexico, Central and South America. The thought would bother me if I had a position in it. Comment?

Q: MDA has been steadily going down in an upward market over the last while (down 9% over the last 6 weeks). In the last two days it has fallen 4%. Any idea why? Is it a buy at these levels?
Q: PKI is going to raise 500,000,000,000. Please give your take on this and what affect will it have on the stock price.
Q: Just comparing NPI to other electric utilities in Canada during the past year this one wins hands down. Can you please explain the recent outperformance and future prospects. It still has an attractive yield of 5%. NPI generates power from renewable sources but then so does BEP.UN as opposed to a coal based utility such as TA. perhaps NPI would be a nice addition to the income portfolio.
Thanks for your great service,
Steve

Q: Can I please get your assessment of NPI. In particular, debt levels; earnings growth; and safety and growth of dividend. Looking at a 3 year hold.

Q: What do you think the end game is for Constellation Software? Will it just keep acquiring more and more companies, or will it eventually be acquired itself?
Q: If the C$ continues to gain some additional momemtum, how would that FX affect Boyd going forward. I note that the ROE is negative and their net profit margins are also low to negative, their PE pretty high but it has been a solid performer to date. Should the above factors be important if a person is thinking of buying into the company at this juncture. Would you suggest any other company you like better in this category. Thank you.
Q: If you were buying one of these, which would it be and why?
Many Thanks for the great work you do.

Q: Why is it that this stock looses 2,5% upon the release of an expected deal? Are there any changes that was missed by the market? What is your opinion of this stock moving forward to 2017?

Q: Could you please recommend 3 names of companies/ETFs/ that would produce monthly income, to be added to an otherwise reasonably balanced portfolio for a long term hold.
Thank you for the great service.

Q: Thoughts on the deal?
Q: With the Valeant debacle going on, what is the difference between the acquisition model that valeant had and what CSU are doing?
Q: Ref. your answer to my recent question, the only investment accounts we have are RRIFs and the 6.7% weighting is a % of the total investment accounts.
I think that what you were saying is that in case, we may need to be more cautious. Am I reading that right?

Q: I was looking for previous questions and answers on CCL Industries CCL and could only see two Q & A going back to January this year. I am sure I have read more previously??
CCL has gown to 6.7% of my portfolio, though it would have been less if oil had not taken such a hit. It's one of the few stocks that we own in RRIFs that does not seem to have pulled back and I am loathe to sell to balance the portfolio becbecause of its performanceause of its weighting.
In a case like this, is it appropriate to hold on, or should we trim and buy something like Winpak?

Q: I would appreciate your opinion as to the safety of PM's dividend.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Q: Hi team:

Q: I'm an owner in AW.UN, MTY and PZA for income. I have a tax refund and would like to reinvest a few thousand. Each of these are below 5% weighting so I can freely contribute to any one of these.
