Q: How does fall in GBP effect Magna International. It looks like Europe sales are increasing quarter over quarter.. will upcoming quarter hurt the numbers because of fall in GBP? Even though they're hedging? First 2 Quarters - average of 1.42-43.. 3rd Quarter looks to be below 1.3. Or will it be delayed?

Q: It would appear that a merger for AYA is no longer in the cards (please excuse the pun). What are your views, then, on the company going forward? Is is now fairly valued or are there reasonable growth prospects?

The two concerns I have are that the inability to find a partner suggests that there is a lack of value/interest in the company and secondly, that the management in place does not have Baasov's vision or ability to grow the firm.

Are either of these concerns founded?

Q: I was comparing banks and was intrigued by comparison between these 2.
YOY, BNS is about 14% higher than CM, whereas 5 yr return shows both very similar return. Is there a merit in switch from BNS to CM,to take benefit of relative discount on cibc. Over longer term banks have moved in locksteps. thanks

Q: I see there have been changes to the S&P/TSX Composite Shareholder Yield Index and that Enercare has been removed and (AD) Alaris Royalty has been added.
I am surprised to see Enercare removed and can you explain how this decision is arrived and also if this will have any impact on the share price of each Enercare and Alaris.

Q: I am a little confused by your answer to Richard's question yesterday about HCG. On the one hand, you still consider HCG a good long term investment, while on the other hand, you said that you took it out of the Balanced Portfolio on short term prospects. I had thought that your advice was based on long term investing, not short term trading. I would appreciate your clarification.

Q: Hi 5i Research team, I just read your recent report on Magna. What would be the impact on Magna revenues and profitability (eps), if tomorrow there were only electric cars produced worldwide? According to you, if the S&P/TSX is trading at a 17x forward eps, at what p/e multiple should Magna trade? Is Magna a stock we buy, put in a drawer and look at a few years later? On a long term basis, in which company (Magna, Linamar, Martinerea, Exco) would you be more comfortable investing in and then leaving for a deserted island for 5 years? Thank you, Eric
