Q: I'm thinking of a position in one of these 2. Which is better and why. Is today a good entry point for either?

Q: HCG is now down over 50% in my TFSA. I keep telling myself, "don't think about what it WAS worth, think about what it is," but my emotions keep getting in the way of my thinking. Given HCG's current prospects, is this a reasonable place for a senior to leave a now much smaller portion of her portfolio, or should I just take my losses and look for a less volatile stock? ( It seems volatile to me, but perhaps that's those emotions again) Many thanks
Q: Hello Peter and team,
ESL has a A minus rating so far. Do you still hold the rating after the recent quarterly results a and stock slide? I am holding ESL in my TSFA bought around $55 and would like your advice to hold or sell. Thanks

Q: Greetings: In one of your recent answers you indicated that best current GIC rates are in the 2.75% range. The best rates I see in Vancouver (2% one year, 2.5% fiver year) are with Oaken Capital, part of the Home Capital Group (Home Trust, Home Bank). Is Oaken Capital a pretty good provider? Are those rates in line with what I should expect? I intend to set up a laddered series with about $100K
Thank you
Thank you
Q: What are your thoughts on ESL earnings. Would you consider hold, Buy or Sell
Thanks

Q: I have been looking at MG for awhile and was wondering why the stock has fallen over the past 1.5 years? The dividend payout has risen over the past 4 years and they have very low dept. The returns on asset, equity, and capital are also consistently high over the past 5 years.
Is this simply investors being tired or is there something else, and would it be a good time to enter?
Thank You,
Andrew

Q: Are these stocks at a good entry point and if could only buy one now which one would you buy first?
Q: What sector would you classify SJ?
Q: Would Mr Baazov be allowed to put in a bid and take the company private while having been charged? Do you think bigger parties are looking at buying Amaya? If true it is unbelievable what I am reading today--ie with all his money why risk getting charged and accepting puny kickbacks . Does not make sense. Innocent until proven guilty!!!
Q: We depend on dividends for fully half our income. At the moment we have have a full position in TRP and 1/2 positions in IPL and PPL. I'm considering a 1/2 position in ENB for growth and dividend. Is this too much in one sector? And have I missed the ENB boat with all its recent price increases? - Ted
Q: I was wondering if your response to Eugene this morning regarding CI Financial would also apply verbatim to FSZ? I work in the financial services industry and I share your concerns for growth in these companies. The dividend is great and I assume reasonable secure but do you hold much hope of the stock price ever rising? The share price is about where is was 2 years ago.
Appreciate your insight.

Q: The combined total borrowings of $56.3-billion for ENB/Spectra, scares me. Should I be scared?
Many Thanks. Austin

Q: Could I get your opinion on ADN - I am looking at a small position to be held mainly for the dividend with some hope of small capital gains. Can you tell me what their payout percentage is, insider ownership, potential impact by US lumber talks, and is it a take-over candidate (I think I've heard this somewhere)?
Thank-you
Thank-you
Q: XTC (Exco Tech.): beaten down, low PE, low debt., good ROE, met last Q expectations & missed previous three. Would this be a good long term buy at some point soon?
Q: Hi Team,
What you think of CXI results ?
I am holding ACQ for some time, is there any upside potential or should I sell it and buy NFI.

Q: I view EQB as a mini HCG. EQB stock has performed well this year and is near its 52 week high where as HCG has not. Why do you think EQB has performed better this year? Which do you think is a better buy at this time?
Q: Hi team, I have in my RRSP ( balance portfolio) parkland fuel and trans Canada pipeline. Would Enbridge be too similar to add to my holdings?
Q: a big deal today. does this change your opinion?
Q: I have been watching PBH for awhile and was going to purchase then it starting breaking higher again. Is it okay to star to pick away it at this level. It has had a good run and I wonder if I should wait for a pull back as the fall usually has times of volatility or buy some now and add on market weakness.
