Q: SIS has sharply declined from its peak of $17.55 in late May.It is priced to perfection. After miss of expected EPS the last 2 Qs(May by 0.01 & Aug 0.05(0.07 vs 0.12 expected),investors are very unforgiving in this climate(eg geopolitical,Trump, seasonally weak period-mid July to mid Oct,talks of big correction & high valuation) despite 2 good US earnings period & slow & steady growth in economy.Look at similar negative impact on KXS & CGX.On the flip side, see PBH & SHOP.SIS was top pick of 5I on 3/3/16 @ $5.85 & 5/16/16 @ $7.99.I am now looking for an entry point,so please advise what is the catalyst(s) for a turnaround. Thanks for u normal great views & services.

Q: Hello 5i,
If I am looking at starting a position in SIS when it starts showing positive "price momentum", what are the 3 -5 primary factors that you consider to determine "price momentum" and also could you please quantify the parameters that you prefer (for example, if one of your factors is RSI, do you favour 14 or another value)?

Q: Big volume on SIS today of 666,000 shares. Daily volume is around 30,000 period July 27th to August 10th period. Good sign to me as a holder of SIS is that Investors Purchased 666,000 shares. What are your thoughts as to whom may be buying. RAK.
Q: Could we get more insight into the selling of SIS, the shares are down on heavy volume today, who is getting out and why?
Q: I purchased cgx late July and subsequently lost 25%. You mentioned that they need to diversify so that their earnings are not so tied to the box office. In reading their results,it seems that they now have more assets in "other" entertainment venues. Given their previous track record, would you advise holding for a year and how did you view their continuing foray into other venues and what do you see in the future for price appreciation? Thanx.
Q: How come SIS sucks lately? positive quarter and the stock seems to be in free fall! -26% to date!
Q: If HLF does purchase Conner Bros. as is rumored, how do you think the market will respond?
Q: I know you are high on this co.,and i agree it is maybe cheap, but it is now off close to 30% of it's high and sinking fast to where it was 3 years ago, i know it is still up for the year, but what is it that the market does not like about this stock?. I find that many low p/e stocks are not the stocks that you want to hold, they are cheap for some reason.
Thanks again so much.

Q: Greetings 5i,
My question is fairly long-winded, so please deduct as many credits as you deem appropriate.
I currently hold a half position in both STN and WSP. Do both need to be held in this space? Do you favour one over the other for a long term hold (5 years plus)? Moreover, if you do favour one, would you recommend dropping the other completely, folding the capital from one into the other, or trimming each slightly to maintain diversification while redeploying some capital elsewhere?
I have a fairly long term horizon (I am 35 years old), and, in the industrial sector, also hold a full position in CNR.
Thank you.

Q: I have held CGX in my TFSA for over 3 years for growth and a good dividend. The stock is down about 15% from purchase price and you have indicated that it is probably not going to do a whole lot quickly. I am considering replacing it with something that is expected to grow a bit faster but still has a dividend and would like your advice. If you think replacing it is a good move could you give me some suggestions - I was wondering about Savaria as a possible replacement>
Q: You are probably tired of Cineplex questions.
To clarify 5i sold Cineplex because they wanted to use the monies for better opportunities. If not, prescient knowledge well done.
I should have followed suit.
Ellis Jacob CEO is fawned over in the press.
He runs a monopoly which always misses earnings.
There is a Cineplex near my house it is operated like a Canadian monopoly. Service is mediocre, food is too expensive to buy and minimal staff that are somewhat present.
Is Cinemark a better operated company?
It has much more debt.
Thanks for letting me rant.

Q: Greetings 5i,
I currently hold a half position in both ENB and SU, and, like many others I assume, am getting somewhat discouraged with the performance of the Canadian energy sector this year. I am more than willing to be patient, as I am only 35, and feel that both are good companies with strong fundamentals. More than anything however, I do not want to give in to panic selling.
Could you please provide your assessment of each as a long term hold (5 years plus)?
Please deduct a credit for each if you deem it appropriate.
Thank you.

Q: I am looking at adding CSH.UN to my income portfolio based on your recent addition. However, I note that it is down over 6% since being added to the 5i income portfolio last month.
You often respond that you like to invest in stocks with positive momentum vs negative. Following this advice, when/how would you recommend investing in CSH.UN, as it appears to have negative momentum?

Q: Hi Peter and Team,
Is CGX still expensive after share price dropped below $39. Is it still worth A- rating? At what price would this be a good buy?
Thanks

Q: ENGH continues to drift down after hitting $64.00 this year. Is it just the time of year? I notice that it is still in your portfolio. I am debating what to do? Hold on or sell it and move on? What do you think? Thanks
Q: Please help me to understand why SYZ is not going up after a solid Q.Thanks for u usual great services & views. Looking forward to seeing Peter on BNN on Aug 22
Q: Marc Cohodes seems to think that accounting practises at Bad are either incompetent or fradulant.
He is still extremely bearish on the company and its accounting practices, claiming that the company is “…counting revenues they don’t even have invoices for” and that Badger reported $60 million in non-cash revenue, approximately half of Badger’s quarterly revenues, as “trade receivables” in the single month of June.
I know that it seems to be legal to do accounting in this way. But, for a layman it is difficult to draw a conclusion. I wondered if you had an opinion on this?
thanks as always for your wonderful and profitable service,

Q: Hi 5i,
REGAL ENTERTAINMENT is really taking it on the chin lately. Here in Canada CGX isn't doing much better, is there a fundamental shift happening such as streaming video. I am a long term investor, basically set it and forget it, unless something bad is happening.
Regards,

Q: I am down considerably on CGX (missed 5i selling?). Watching BNN today where the person is short CGX. This raised the question, are the shorts likely to be able to wreak havoc on this stock as they have so many?
Thanks
