Q: I read this morning that the U.S. Justice Department federal law bars all internet gambling, reversing its position from 2011. It is something new or as often a misinformation? If I don't misunderstand, that could have a serious impact on the futur of Stars Group. I thoughts please.
Thanks
Q: After close today,CLIQ announced the close of Liquor Retailers Alliance transaction & corporate structure.Your take please.Txs for u usual great services & views
Q: Could you please explain the process of and the reasons , including pros/cons, for the ENGH stock split that was announced later in December. What actually is going to happen - I don't understand exactly what they mean by doing it by way of paying a dividend ? Isn't a stock split usually done to increase the number of shares available .
I hold the stock and have been very happy with its performance but find this confusing and am not sure what I will end up with.
Many thanks, as always.
Across all accounts, our sector allocations need re-balancing. I'm trying to re-allocate money only in stocks that are already held. In the Consumer Discretionary space, should I add to GIL and/or MG today? (GIL is 2.75% and MG is 2.92% of the total portfolio)
Q: Greetings 5i Team.
We are adjusting our accounts and looking to place 6% of our equity allocation in the Cdn ‘industrials’ category. If you were to choose among the listed securities, which names would you prefer for each of a one, two, three, and four name selection?
Thankyou
Sam
Q: Long time, very frustrated, holder of GUD. GUD never tanked with the Dec carnage but has not rose much either, just seems "stable", which is OK except with no divy there is an opportunity cost in continuing to hold. What would you do? Swallow the frustration and give it more time, or switch to something else in the growth mode, maybe SIS or BCI?
Q: What are your thoughts on this news?
Knight Therapeutics (TSX:GUD) has struck a deal with Puma Biotech (NASDAQ:PBYI) to commercialize breast cancer treatment NERLYNX in Canada.
Q: I have just added to my PHO holding and now have a 2.5% position. With the latest news on them entering into a distribution agreement with Japan Laser Corp, could this warrant an increase in my holding?
Q: Most of the companies under PBH are focused on meat production. I'm curious if the company has given any indication in their calls of diversifying their offering more going forward or looking at non meat companies for acquisitions (Daiya, Yves)?
I feel like I'm hearing a lot more new new years resolutions this year about having more meatless meals a week because of environmental and health concerns. Google searches for veganism have been steadily rising through the years as well.
I'd be curious to hear your thoughts and how it may affect PBH or any measures they're taking.
This is a twofold question so deduct as many credits as needed. First, I know multiple questions have been asked about GUD in the past. I've been in the name for a few years and hold a gain. That said, how much more patience should one have with this stock? At what time should an investor move on because it really seems like not much is happening?
Second question not related to the first. I dabble in penny stocks and I constantly see 100 share bids from the same house. Bid gets filled and immediately another 100 share bid appears. My question is this a sign of a house accumulating and keeping the price low to do so? I know that's a general question. I'm just wondering if this is some form of manipulation by some bigger players.
Cheers
Q: SIS--$17.28 p/p,current postion,3.5%. TFII---$47.58p/p,1.75% position now. Is it time to buy more of these 2? Txs for u usual great services & views
Q: With a new CEO and board which seem to have the support of at least 3 of the larger shareholders I am expecting they will set a new direction for the company. How long do you think it will take to develop a new public strategy (I would guess that the larger shareholders know in general for them to give support) for the company and secondly to see results. If the results are not to their liking how long do you think the large shareholders would give before a strategic review is requested.
