Q: Another Stars question. The weakness in the stock is attributable to UK competition review - CMA has 40 days to issue preliminary findings. Stock has now lost 30%; those of us who follow 5i recommendation are down 25%. What are thoughts from here? Does Uk green light the merger - require divestiture or - kill the deal? Management has authored its own demise with poor guidance statement - why do this? Is this an attempt have the company taken out? What do you recommend we do with this holding? Next support stop looks to be $29 ish after that is free fall to $20.

Q: Hi, Stars Group share price has declined over 25%, in a short period, since added to Balanced Portfolio and is trading at its low. Now that the quarterly results are also out of the way, what would you summarize as the main reasons for this continued softness and overhang. Could you also please list the catalysts in the near term which could help lift the stock price and possible time timeline for these to materialize. Thank You

Q: What are your thoughts on Absolute Software. I never sold it out of my portfolio and things look better after they reported a few days ago. Do you think someone would be interested in buying them or from your experience is there a chance they may go private. I am reluctant to sell but I worry in a downturn about these small names like Absolute and Sylogist—both taken out of the portfolio but appear to have good momentum.

Q: This question is relating to the tax consequences of accepting the offer by BIP. The ECI shares are held in a non-registered account.
By tendering ECI shares, an investor will receive in exchange cash and units in BIP.UN. The exchange for cash will result in a capital gain which is taxable. Will the exchange of ECI shares for BIP.UN be a deemed disposition of the ECI shares or is it a tax free roll over?

Q: Good Morning 5i,
In your estimation what is the downside If: a). recession and/ or b). rising interest rate housing crunch ? On the flipside what is the upside?
Also, how much did they miss the numbers by and was it for a more valid reason other than 'the weather'. Deduct as necessary.
Good job to all, carry on and Thank You. This is not a private question

Q: Given that TOY has been drifting down from the $58 level at beginning of July and is now approaching the $50 level which looked like some resistance in June; do the technicals show any indication of being oversold or are there any buy indicators showing. Is this a good price to be adding at considering that a toy season is coming.

Q: Concerning Mike's question, earlier today, on Great Canadian Gaming. You indicated the expected eps for Q2 is 67 cents. I have Thompson Reuters showing consensus expected eps of 72 cents. Is that a slight oversight or is your source showing a consensus of 67 cents? Thanks.

What are your thoughts on GC's numbers? Does this report give more ammo to the longs or to the shorts? Are there any red flags? What is GC's debt profile and their capacity to handle that debt.

Thanks again.
