Q: Getting pummeled in my TFSA with these two dogs of late.
Hold on and hope for no more pain and don’t watch them for a couple years or accept that it was bad buys and move on

Q: Listened to micron CEO today explain effect of tariffs on his business, micron has some production facilities in China whose products when imported to USA will be subject to new tariffs. Net effect was margin decline of .5 to 1 %. Also they are looking to move production out of China to mitigate tariff effects. Would Photon potentially get some of this this shifting of production, not only by micron but by other semi manufactures? Does photon have excess capacity to go after hew clients? Greg A.
Q: Why is Photon getting hit today?
Q: Would you suggest buying PHO today on weakness?
Q: Hello
This was recommended on BNN at $27. Do you think this is a good investment?

Q: Hi 5i team,
Brookfield equities (BAM, BEP and BIP) represent 8% of our portfolio. I am down 8% on BEP but am wondering whether the current dip down to $38.87 per share represents a good buying opportunity, especially given it's dividend yield at around 5.5%. So, my questions are: 1) is an 8% total Brookfield weighting too much in general, and 2) what about buying more BEP or do you think that it's likely to slide further given their broad holdings in emerging markets. Thanks for your help.

Q: Hello, SIS announced a couple of days ago it is increasing the dividend by 17% and provided its update on 2018 and 2019 guidance. The market welcomed the announcement with an upswing of 5%. But today again, it is down by 3%. The volatility is not matching with the market movement. Yes , the shares are up compared to a year ago. But still the movement of the stock is becoming un predictable to large extent. Is there any other news that I have missed on this counter. Thanks for your advice always.
Q: PHO: just asked about it and response was to refer to previous entries. Before I ask a question, I do this. In this particular case, something is happening to PHO today. I would like information reflecting the current situation. Is there any news today?
Q: I have unfortunately bought at the high of 2015 and am even money on this one after 3 years. They appear to be doing all the right things but market's reaction isn't there.
Do you feel there will be a market catalyst on this one or would the money be better served elsewhere?

Q: Hi Peter and 5i team,
I own some shares of Sylogist in my TFSA . The stock has been performing well lately, hitting 52 week highs. I don’t see any recent news about the company . Has 5i uncovered anything?
Thanks,

Q: Any explanation for CCL.B's weak performance over the past while? When do they next report and what is expected?
Q: Read your recent report on TFII and like it - seems to be a well run company and a good entry point for clients - would no NAFTA deal hurt it a lot or have little effect on the business - and do you feel it is a good buy right now - thanks
Q: With SIS announcement, I calculate 2019 P/E to be just under 15. True? I used the market cap of 891M/60M (projected earnings)
Seems like a good price for this company.

Q: How do you see this acquisition by COV. A purchase price of $16.1M CAN for a company which gave you $11.1 CAN seems great but would I be correct that their bottom line margins are much lower then what COV's regular business gives.
Revenue of $11.1M CAN with earnings of $.684 M is much lower than revenue of
$20 M and earnings of $2.2 M (for the first 3 quarters of 2018) on a percentage basis.
Thanks

Q: What do you think about the acquisition they did today?
Q: If the stock dropped to $3.75 would you be interested in picking a few up at that price?
Thanks

Q: What are the reasons BNS Price to Book ratio is much lower than RY and TD ? Thank you.
