Q: Any specific reason for yesterday's drop?
Q: Covalon has been beaten down considerably in last few months and I see from a few of the questions that 5i has been beaten up a bit over past recommendations on it. I think many investors are similar to myself in that when a trade works out well it is because I am very smart and when it doesn't work out well it is because someone else is not :-). However looking at Covalon it still seems like there is a good path forward for them but will take longer than originally anticipated. At today's depressed pricing would you consider them a good option from a longer term perspective?
Q: Do you agree with Gordon Pape’s opinion of NFI?

We sold some shares last year at a substantial profit but kept some which is currently around a 3% weighting and we are still up over 100%. I wonder if we should be selling the rest? The company is still profitable but the future profitability seems to be opaque. Mr. Pape comments on the drop in new orders (firm and options). Just wondering if he is spinning the numbers? Has there been a big decline in firm orders excluding options and any idea historically how solid an option to purchase a bus become an actual purchase? When a buyer places an option to purchase a bus does this cost the purchaser any money? If there is no cost to purchase an option to buy a bus then it would seem to be a pretty weak number since the buyer doesn’t have “skin in the game” so to speak.
Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.

Q: when does sis report and what is the market looking for?
Q: I have to express my concern regarding your response to Dave re: COV on 7/29. The comment that you take a "Portfolio Approach" and 5I "will not enter into debates on individual stocks" is the issue. My concern here is that I do not buy ALL of the stocks in a particular portfolio but do own many of them. By the sheer presence of a stock in a 5I portfolio suggests to me that you approve of the stock and are recommending it. I have held onto stocks far too long because it was retained in the portfolio. I consider if a stock remains in one of your portfolios it is a "Hold" recommendation from 5I. Am I wrong?

Q: Your opinion on 2nd QT .
Q: Hi, I am looking to add a position in either DSG or LSPD to my RSP. I am looking at these to add some growth as I have a number of bank and utility stocks in my RSP now, which provide dividends but not a lot of growth. Can you please advise which you would recommend, including your reasons and also how they compare from both a risk and growth perspective.
thanks for your advice.
Paula

Q: I, like Medison, am fed up with Knight and Jonathan Goodman. I voted to keep him in and I thought that after the battle, he would try and create some shareholder value. If Medison can call a shareholders meeting, I think a lot of shareholders will side with Medison this time around. A very frustrating stock and I know that if one is frustrated, they should sell. Do you think we will ever see some move to the upside in Knight in this century, or maybe Knight is for the great-great-great-grandchildren. lol
Q: Does the 50% investment in X-ELIO have an accretive affect on earnings?

Q: Please comment on what results are expected in PKI's upcoming Q2 report.
Q: I've owned Game Host since 2016 mostly for income. I used its monthly 5% dividends and put them towards my mortage payments. Since my mortgage interest is now 2.85%, I think it makes sense. I just wanted to check if the company is still doing "ok" to continue with my strategy (GH.CA is a 2.0% position relative to my total account and 1 of 5 income stocks that pay my mortgage interest). Could you share some of its metrics, like debt-to-equity and other metrics that matter to income stocks?
Q: I was stopped out of Sarvaria some time ago and thinking about repurchasing. What is your opinion of doing so at this time?
thx, Bob

Q: Constellation Software now exceeds 10% of our total accounts because it has and keeps doing well. What would a reasonable reduction be, say down to 7%.? Given we are only 2-3 years requirement what stocks would you recommend as a replacement? We own Open Text and Kinaxis already. Thank you, Bill
